DAFFODIL DISPLAY 22nd AUGUST
MOTORCYCLE DISPLAY
Our motorcycle display on Heritage Day was good, hopefully our daffodil day display will equal or better it. The cause is more than worthy of a good effort being made within our branch and our m/c section a sizable number of members or their families have experienced cancer problems in one form or another.
Let’s show our support for those who have been, are now or will be affected in the future by getting motorcycles to the park in big numbers on Daffodil Day.
Limited help and trailers are available to move unregistered, immobile, under restoration or barn finds to the park. It can be time consuming so if you can assist, please do so.
In the past our branch has been the stand out in VCC Daffodil Day fund raising and hopefully we can retain our No 1 position.
Prior to leaving for Christchurch for further treatment himself our chairman walked the streets convalescing… all the while gathering financial support from local vehicle franchises.
He raised a considerable sum to give us good start, now it is up to us to back up his efforts by turning up with vehicle or two or three or a motorcycling friend with an interesting motorcycle.
Costs a minimum of a fiver. See you there.

People who registered to attend the show to please be there AS NEAR TO 0830 as possible on Saturday and Sunday. Any inquiries to Patrick Pascoe 0274421786.

Dear Branch Secretary. Please advise your members who may be attending the Vero IFHM event in New Plymouth January 16th - 21st 2022 of the following. [1] We have Motorhome parking available at the New Plymouth Racecourse. The designated area is off Coronation Avenue [SH3] and within 300 metres walk from the Rally HQ at the TSB Stadium. The site is subject to passing traffic from racehorse owners vehicles who use the track in the early hours of the morning. I do not envisage the passing traffic noise to be intrusive and likewise the noise of galloping horses as you will be parked a good distance away from the track. However if you enjoy an early morning coffee and also enjoy watching racehorses in training what more could you wish for to start another fantastic day of vintage motoring. Motorhomes must be fully self contained and there is no facility to dispose of grey or black liquid waste liquid on site. I am advised that there is fresh tap water available by co-ordination with the New Plymouth Racecourse office staff member. The fee of $100 for the week Sun16th - Sat 22nd is payable at the Racecourse office with all bookings to be made through me at festivalsecretary@vcc.org.nz [2] We also have the generous offer of free motorhome parking on a small farmlet of a Taranaki VCC member [Grant Bishop] approximately 10 mins drive from the city boundary. Again - must be fully self contained. [3] And of course there are the three commercial campsites with showers etc at Belt Road Beach Camp, Fitzroy Beach Camp and a Top Ten Camping site all within five mins drive of the Rally HQ.

As it will be during the Xmas school holiday period it would be advisable to book these sites early
