VWA MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of Villa Walsh Academy, a college preparatory Catholic school, is to inspire our young women to expand their intellectual breadth and depth and to enhance their sense of local and global concern, empowering them to influence their world in a Christian manner. Villa Walsh Academy Stands Solidly on a Foundation of Tradition Set within the lovely Morristown countryside atop rugged mountain terrain, Villa Walsh Academy provides a picturesque setting to enhance an exceptional academic curriculum. Discovery of truth, service, and knowledge, both within and beyond the classroom, marks the students’ experiences as they explore the natural beauty of its 120 acres of rolling hills. The best of old-world charm combined with modern facilities and resources, the magnificent estate on which Villa Walsh Academy is set is home to a 19th century administration building and the residence of the Religious Teachers Filippini, a chapel, a variety of academic buildings, an auditorium, Assembly Hall, and music rooms. Additionally, a state-of-the-art Athletic Center serves the needs of all student athletes. Perhaps the most notable and recognizable aspect of the Villa Walsh campus, is the 100-year old, six-story stone water tower from which water was pumped by steam engine to supply the estate. The campus, situated at the highest point in Morristown, sits proudly on Gillespie Hill and boasts a stunning scenery and panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.
