GUIDANCE On October 2nd, students in grades 11 and 12 were offered the opportunity to take SAT School Day Testing. College Board has released these scores and students should be able to access their scores via their College Board account. If you are unable to access your score, please call College Board directly for assistance. On October 9th, all students in grade 11 took the PSATs. ese scores have also been released and can be accessed via the student’s College Board account. On October 15th, students in grades 11 and 12 were offered the opportunity to take ACT School Day Testing. ACT has indicated that scores will be available in two to eight weeks following the test. Students who have created their MyACT account should be able to access their scores digitally earlier than the paper copy of scores sent to the school. On October 30th, the Guidance Department hosted a college night for all students and parents in grades 9 through 12. College representatives from Catholic University, Penn State University and University of Florida spoke about the college admissions process and recent trends. It was an informative event – many thanks to all who attended. Seniors:  Please be mindful of your application deadlines and make sure you have submitted the appropriate paperwork.  Students are reminded to update their Naviance accounts with all college information (deadlines, admission decisions etc.).  e free application of federal student aid (FAFSA) is available to submit starting December 2024. Please view the following website for information: https://studentaid. gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa  Certain colleges require a student/parent to submit the College Scholarship Service (CSS) pro le. Please check each individual school that you are applying to.  Please remember should you opt to send standardized test scores, you will need to send your scores directly to the schools you are applying to.

SAT SCORES- www.collegeboard.org or 866-756-7346 ACT SCORES- www.act.org or 319-337-1313 Students in Grades 9-11:  Any student interested in taking the SAT or ACT Tests this year, please be aware of registration deadlines.  Should a student be interested in receiving or providing peer tutoring, please sign up outside the Guidance Office.  Junior college planning meetings are taking place in November.

VILLA SERVES Operation Smile With the organizational skills of Mia Magnier’26 and Jane Anderson’26, a bake sale was held during lunch period to bene t Operation Smile and Villa donated over $180 dollars to the cause. Operation Smile is a non-pro t medical service that provides surgery and on-going care for people affected by cle lip and cle palate in resource-limited environments. In a joint effort of Villa Serves and Campus ministry, a collection of items to aid the Hurricane Helene ood victims in North Carolina and Florida was made and delivered. ank you to Sierra Warjanka’26 for her assistance in this service project.

Veterans Day Veterans Day is a federal holiday that is annually observed on November 11 to honor military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Again this year, Villa Serves, led by Audrey Wilibanks’25 and Ines Lemee’25, placed over 50 pinwheels at the entrance to our school in honor of our military families and relatives. In addition, words of gratitude and appreciation to our veterans were written in thank you cards organized and provided by Gemma Cafasso’26 and Ellen DiDomenico’26.
