Guidance
SPRING 2023

e Guidance Department will be hosting a College Application Boot Camp for the Class of 2024. Date and Time: August 17, 2023 from 11:00am1:00pm or August 22, 2023 from 1:00-3:00pm.
•
Additionally, there will be a mandatory college meeting for all parents and students of the Class of 2024 on September 13, 2023 at 7:00pm in the Grace Ann Café.
Recent Happenings: •
9th grade students have been meeting with Mrs. Devins to discuss PSATs, course selection and to review their academic year.
•
Juniors met with Mrs. Devins during their English class to discuss the College Essay, Brag Sheet and Student Resume.
•
Juniors will receive their updated transcripts in late June.
•
Seniors: Please note that your nal transcripts will be sent to the college you are attending during the week of June 19, 2023.
•
Congratulations to the entire Class of 2023 for making their commitment to the college/university they will be attending next Fall!
•
All students are encouraged to check the Guidance website for summer opportunities and college information.
•
If your daughter has taken or will be taking the ACTs, please make sure to send a screen shot copy of her scores to Mrs. Devins. ACT no longer sends the school guidance office the results of your daughter’s ACT test.
National Merit Program Over 1.6 million juniors entered the 2022 National Merit Program by taking the 2020 PSAT. From this group of test-takers, 34,000 students were recognized for their exceptional academic promise and named National Merit Commended Students. We congratulate Hannah D’cruz’23 and Avery Walsh’23 for being named National Merit Commended Students! Additionally, from this same PSAT pool of 1.5 million juniors, the top 16,000 scorers were recognized as National Merit Semi nalists and earned the chance to become Finalists. We are proud and pleased to announce that Victoria Wong’23 has earned Finalist standing, as a result of her distinguished performance. Congratulations girls!
