To complement a î˘eology coursefocusedonthe Sacraments, Sr.HelenSanchezbrought theSeniorClassto theBasilica CathedralinNewark.î˘ere,theynotonlysawand experienced whatthey hadstudiedabout thechurch'sarchitecture,theywere abletoreceivetheplenaryindulgenceofthe Jubilee Year.Intheir journals,theyexpressedhowtheywere impressedbythechurch's grand gothicsize,themassivestainedglass windows,the carved marblepulpitandnumerousstatues,theintricatemosaicStations oftheCross as wellasthe chapelsdedicatedtothediďŹerent ethnicgroupsresponsibleforbuildingthecathedral.
Aspecialmoment for ourVWAstudents,was recognizing St. LucyFilippini's statue and windowin theItalianchapel.

KatherineTreacyâ27 wasalsoawardedthe DeanâsListawardatWarrenHillsforher individual contributions tothe localroboticsprogram.
