A big thank you to all the students who collected and contributed to our book collection for the children and families at St. Margaret’s of Scotland Parish in Morristown. A special shout-out goes to Dr. Lisa Lemke for her contribution and to Kayla Castellano’25 for her collection of over 200 books! Not even an earthquake could rattle the desires of Villa Serves to serve! On Saturday, April 6, the day aer our 4.8 earthquake, seven members of Villa Serves volunteered at St. Margaret’s church in Morristown at a “Faith and Fun” event. Anne Rionda’27, Claudia Steinberg’25, Elizabeth Kandziolka’25, Nora Dam’25, Gemma Cafasso’26, Kayla Castellano’25, and Caroline Tully’27 played giant Connect Four, distributed books and applied fun, temporary tattoos to anxious children of the parish. In addition, children and their families were able to sign up for library cards with the Morristown Library. In addition to an earthquake, the solar eclipse gave us an opportunity to have a moon- themed bake sale. Maeson Honan’27 and Caroline Tully’27 baked their “stellar” cookies and raised $57 dollars in one hour for Christ in the City and its mission.
