e Alfred University Scholars Award is awarded to an extraordinary high school junior who is “outside of ordinary.” Life at Alfred University is far from ordinary and this award seeks to recognize students who have demonstrated who they are as an individual and how can they bring that same inspiration to the Alfred University community. Not only are they one of the rst higher education institutions in the United States to admit women into programs where they took courses alongside men, but their commitment to inclusivity continues to be part of their mission to this day. e recipient of this award is Bridget Drew’26.
e St. Bonaventure Book Award recognizes junior students for their academic achievement and service to the school and their community. e Bonnie Scholar Award quali es award winners for an annual scholarship of $20,000 scholarship. e Bonnie Scholar Award is being given to Ashlee Martin’26, Emma Naughton’26 and Ava Seaman’26.
e Sacred Heart University Book Award is presented to a high school student in their junior year in recognition of their outstanding achievements during the academic year. is year the Sacred Heart University Book award is being given to Isabella White’26.
e St. Michael’s College Book Award for Community Engagement recognizes outstanding students in their junior year who have demonstrated a sincere commitment to community service, issues of peace and justice, and concern for others. e students also demonstrate academic excellence and rigor. Today’s nominee will be considered for a full tuition scholarship to Saint Michael’s, contingent on an offer of admission to the College. is year’s recipients are Marie “Mia” Magnier’26 and Giselle Scannella’26.
e University of Vermont Citizen Scholar Award is presented annually to select students for their demonstrated commitment to having a positive impact on their communities. is award recognizes
REMINDERS:
Seniors: Just a reminder that your nal transcripts will be sent to the college you are attending during the week of June 16. Juniors have met with Mrs. Devins during their English classes to discuss the College Essay, Brag Sheet and Student Resume. All students are encouraged to check the Guidance website for summer opportunities and college information. Students and parents are encouraged to submit their brag sheets to the Guidance Office no later than July 1. (Class of 2026) e Guidance Department will be hosting a College Application Boot Camp for rising seniors. Date and Time: TBD. Additionally, there will be a mandatory college meeting for all parents and students of the Class of 2026 in September --- please keep an eye out for the date announcement this summer.

AWARDS:
e Junior Scholars Program at High Point University recognizes and awards outstanding high school juniors for their exceptional academic achievement, leadership, demonstrated interested in HPU and remarkable extracurricular involvement. Scholars receive an initial $2,500 scholarship per year to HPU and will have the unique opportunity to receive an early admissions decision to High Point University. e following students are being recognized as High Point University Junior Scholars: eresa Bowers’26, Elodie Cooney’26, So a Kearns’26, Gisele Longo’26 and Shalini Patel’26.
