WELCOME TO THE CABRINI CAMPUS!

The Fall of 2026 will mark the beginning of a new era for Villanova University with the official opening of the Cabrini Campus!

This guide is designed to give you a preview of all that awaits you as the Cabrini Campus becomes a reality: Reimagined classrooms, state-of-theart labs, innovative dining facilities, exciting recreational options and much more! The Cabrini Campus will house about 900 sophomore students, but all Villanovans will have the opportunity to take classes, attend events and enjoy activities there.

FAST FACTS ABOUT THE VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY CABRINI CAMPUS

• The Cabrini Campus is located on 112 wooded acres, just under two miles from the Villanova Campus.

• The Cabrini Campus was formerly its own university with all facets of university life. Villanova has been updating and renovating the campus since Summer 2024.

• Approximately 900 students—mostly sophomores—will be housed in seven spacious residential buildings designed for living in community. Specialized Living and Leadership Communities for sophomores will find their home on the Cabrini Campus.

• Five academic departments will call the Cabrini Campus home. Villanovans will have classes on either campus, depending on their course schedule, regardless of where they live.

• A robust transportation system will ensure easy and direct travel for students between the two campuses, with shuttles arriving every 5-10 minutes during peak hours.

• Innovative dining options, a 100,000-square-foot recreation center, a vibrant student facility and dedicated study spaces are among the amenities available at the Cabrini Campus for all students.

Apartment-style

Beginning in Fall 2026, all students—regardless of class year—will travel between the Villanova and Cabrini campuses for classes and other activities utilizing a premier shuttle system. During the course selection process, students will be informed about the location of each class, and will be able to build their schedules to allow adequate travel time from one campus to the other. As students continue exploring their academic pursuits, they will find their homes at both the Villanova and Cabrini campuses.

ACADEMICS

Undergraduates from all years, and several graduate programs, will regularly be in class on the Cabrini Campus, which boasts outstanding classrooms, technology and labs that naturally suit the academic departments that will call it home:

• The Ethics Program, which will offer core coursework to undergraduates in their sophomore year and to those pursuing an Ethics minor;

• Psychological and Brain Sciences, which will utilize Cabrini’s distinctive research and teaching spaces, including a state-of-the-art vivarium;

• Education and Counseling, which will educate primary and secondary school teachers and counselors in newly renovated, specially designed classrooms; and

• Graduate-level Nursing programs, utilizing dedicated nursing classroom and simulation spaces to complement those in Driscoll Hall on the Villanova Campus.

In addition, select Communication classes will utilize media labs and other specialized facilities on the Cabrini Campus, including TV and podcast studios.

Classes will be held in Cabrini’s two main academic buildings: Bellesini Hall and the Iadarola Center.

STUDY SPACES

Students will have expanded options for study spaces beginning next academic year. In addition to Vic Maggitti Hall, which will open with dozens of study spaces on the Villanova Campus in mid-Fall 2026, Tagaste Hall on the Cabrini Campus will be fully dedicated to open study spaces and will feature a TechZone helpdesk to address the IT needs of students, faculty and staff. Students can also connect to wifi outdoors, turning any campus spot into a study space.

DINING

Dining Services brings you fresh, nutritious and sustainable dining options. Every month, choose from a menu that could include special dining events, themed meals, farmer’s markets, cooking classes, pop-up stations, outdoor dining opportunities and complimentary snacks at various locations.

DINING OPTIONS AT CABRINI

In addition to classrooms, Bellesini Hall will offer customizable, made-to-order options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Stations include:

• Corner Grill: classic grill favorites

• La Cocina: Tex-Mex and Latin American inspired cuisine

• Pacific Rim: bold, Asian-inspired flavors

We’re also introducing Table 1842, a reservation-based, restaurant-style experience at Bellesini Hall that features elevated menus, chef-led cooking demos, etiquette dinners and other special events designed to foster connection through food.

All of Cabrini’s dining establishments will feature options from Nourish Allergen-Free Kitchen, designed to support students with food allergies and dietary restrictions. Meals from Nourish will be available at convenient pickup locations across the Cabrini Campus, ensuring easy access and peace of mind for community members with dietary needs.

CASCIA HALL

No matter where they live, Villanovans will be able to enjoy the amenities available at Cascia Hall, a vibrant, newly renovated student center designed as a gathering and dining space for the entire community.

• Enjoy only-at-Cascia dining opportunities, including:

• Local Grounds x Holy Grounds (your favorite Holy Grounds, reimagined as a full coffeehouse experience featuring local roasters and a warm, community-focused atmosphere);

• Rooted (a fresh, customizable concept offering acai bowls, smoothies and grain and salad bowls, powered by local Pennsylvania farms and alumni-owned Pitaya Foods); and

• The Menu Maker (a rotating, student-driven dining concept where students vote on the types of menus and pop-up experiences they want to see throughout the semester).

• Chat with friends in comfortable seating areas.

• Watch a Wildcats road game, play video games or challenge your friends to a game of pool or shuffleboard in a spacious lounge.

• Pick up some swag at the Cabrini Campus University Shop.

RECREATION

The 100,000-square-foot Dixon Center and Nerney Pavilion will serve as the recreational hub of the Cabrini Campus. The building features an indoor pool, basketball courts, a group fitness studio, exercise equipment, weights and a suspended running track. Outdoor recreational facilities include basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, a nature trail and turf and grass playing fields.

Club and intramural teams will utilize spaces on either or both campuses.

EVENTS

“This Week On Campus,” delivered to student inboxes every week, lists events taking place on both campuses. Popular favorites (like Food Truck Friday!) will take place at each campus, with different activities planned on different days. Events will be designed to make the most of the unique indoor and outdoor facilities on the Villanova and Cabrini campuses.

TRANSPORTATION

A fleet of buses will operate between campuses along two separate routes, providing safe, reliable and convenient transportation for Villanovans.

• On the Cabrini Campus, buses will pick up and drop off passengers at a stop near Nicholas Hall.

• On the Villanova Campus, buses will pick up and drop off passengers at two locations: The East Shuttle Stop (near Bartley Hall, Driscoll Hall and the Connelly Center) and the West Shuttle Stop (near Garey Hall, Tolentine Hall and Drosdick Hall).

WEEKDAYS

6:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m.

Shuttle buses will stop at pick-up locations every 5 to 10 minutes.

10:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.

Nova Van on Demand and the Mobility Shuttle will be available.

WEEKENDS

8 a.m.-10:30 p.m.

Shuttle buses will stop at pick-up locations throughout the day.

10:30 p.m.-8 a.m.

Nova Van on Demand and the Mobility Shuttle will be available.

Each shuttle stop will have a transportation coordinator on site to ensure efficient system operation and support timely arrivals and departures.

Our TripShot transportation app—which is available to download now—will provide real-time bus tracking and up-to-date information about bus stops and schedules, and allow you to request a ride with the Nova Van on Demand or Mobility Shuttle. The app will also provide information about schedules and routes for all other onand off-campus shuttles.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The safety of students and employees at both the Villanova and Cabrini campuses is paramount. As the University’s first responders, the Department of Public Safety will:

• Serve as first responder for police, fire and medical calls (as they do on the Villanova campus);

• Operate 24/7, year round, at both locations;

• Facilitate transportation to the Student Health Center on the Villanova Campus upon request; and

• Coordinate transportation via ambulance to local hospitals in emergency situations.

Safety measures available on both campuses include:

• Surveillance cameras

• Emergency phones

• The Nova Alert system (which will be used to immediately notify students on both campuses of emergency situations on either campus)

• The Nova Safe app (which allows students to communicate with the Department of Safety’s dispatcher using a live chat feature, and allows the dispatcher to see the user’s location in real time)

RESOURCES

Villanova offers countless resources for students, including health services, academic and professional support, student organizations and other groups through the Division of Student Life. Some of these resources will remain on the Villanova Campus, while others will move to the Cabrini Campus or be available on both campuses. Regardless of their residence, students will have easy access to these resources, whether they’re on-site where they are or just a short drive away using the University’s round-the-clock transportation services.

MISSION AND MINISTRY

The legacy of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini and the mission of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus inspire Villanova in familiar and new ways. Cabrini Campus building names will honor the heritages of Saint Augustine and Mother Cabrini, and the campus will be the home of the Mother Cabrini Institute on Immigration at Villanova University.

The Office for Mission and Ministry serves the Villanova community and celebrates the different beliefs, faith traditions and identities each member brings. Across campuses, students wishing to explore and practice their faith will find a range of options. Liturgical celebrations will be held at the Sacred Heart Chapel, and Mission and Ministry staff will offer hospitality and programming from a suite in Ortiz Hall. As on the Villanova campus, students can connect with our Augustinian Catholic mission and the spirit of Mother Cabrini through programs in service and social justice, prayer and worship, spirituality and community, education and advocacy, sustainability and care for the earth.
