The Murrieta 78th Annual Firefighters BBQ brought a large number of city residents, more than 100 vendors and a Bruno Mars Tribute Stage Show to Town Square Park Saturday, April 12 in support of Murrieta Fire & Rescue. The event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. is Murrieta residents’ way of showing appreciation to its own dedicated public safety personnel serving at the MFR. It included a firefighter prepared smoked barbecued tri-tip or hot dog lunch for $15 and $9 respectively with the meal served by city council members and the city staff and volunteers. The proceeds help maintain the city’s fire and rescue teams. The annual Fire Explorers see BBQ, page A-2

Reviews of the progress made in the areas of home and industrial construction, infrastructure improvements, and public service throughout six southwest Riverside county cities were heard at the SRCAR Breakfast with the City Managers, April 10 at the Pechanga Resort and Casino. The event, sponsored by members of the Southwest Riverside County Association of Realtors, brought the city managers of Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula and Wildomar to the podium to take a few minutes to speak about their cities, some of the fastest growing in California.
