Saturday, Oct. 8, to learn about the pilot study that is showing promise for cleaning up the latest algae blooms that have temporarily shut down Lake Elsinore to recreational activities.

Companies, some using novel approaches to bacteria eradication, were chosen to participate in this pilot program made possible through Proposition 1 funding from the California Department of

Lake Community Park in Hemet. Palm Springs Police Officer Lesley Zerebny, from Hemet, and her partner Gil Vega were shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance on Oct. 8, 2016.
