Based on the evaluation findings, the VIKES Mtukwao Participatory Media Project has been able to build a solid ground for citizen journalism and participatory community media in Mtwara and Lindi regions in southern Tanzania. The evaluation was produced by a team of nine students from University of Dar es Salaam School of Journalism and Mass Communication (Tanzania), Humak University for Applied Sciences (Finland) and Stella Maris Mtwara University College (Tanzania). The 24-page report in based on three weeks of field work in Tanzania, where participatory methods were applied to obtain information from stakeholders and people in the village communities.
