The VHCC Financial Aid Team is coming to your school! Please make plans to attend one of these workshops anytime during the hours of 3:30pm-6:30pm.
Virginia High School - November 3rd
Holston High School - November 5th
Abingdon High School - November 10th
Patrick Henry High School - November 11th
Chilhowie High School - November 12th:
Northwood High School - November 13th
John Battle High School - November 18th
If you are unable to attend the workshop at your high school, you can still go to a workshop at another school.
These workshops are open to all students. It doesn’t matter if you plan to attend VHCC or another college; they will still help you and your family with your FAFSA.
Create an account (FSA ID): Every contributor anyone (you, a biological or adoptive parent, or your parent's spouse) who's required to provide information on the FAFSA form needs a StudentAid.gov account before accessing & completing their section of the online form. Do not use a school email address as that will likely be inactive once you graduate!! https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
Parents/guardians who already have an account (FSA ID) do not need to create a new one
Keep your log in information where you can access it next year. Students will need to complete the FAFSA each year!
Think about which colleges you want to receive your FAFSA. You can list up to 20. We recommend adding VHCC to that list so we can help if you have any questions.
Write the workshop dates in your planner! Ask us questions! We are here to help!

The PSAT will be offered at your school this month (see dates on page 2). Please visit your school counselor to sign up! Here are some reasons we think it is important:
1.It will familiarize you with the format of the SAT and is a great way to see how the test is administered.
2.Your results can help with your test prep for the SAT. Khan Academy will personalize your test prep based on your PSAT results!
