Early Childhood Education Career Studies Certificate
Think you might be interested in working with young children? Early childhood professionals promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development and learning in children. You will learn about health, safety and nutrition of children, growth and development, appropriate child observation and assessment and effective interactions with children. Also, you will become familiar with program management, teacher qualifications and professional development. This program is a pre-requisite for the Advanced Early Childhood Education program.

Tuition & Fees At only $162.11 per credit hour, you’ll save $10K to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.
Dr. Winona Fleenor has an extensive teaching career in the social sciences and human services. In addition to teaching, she has community service experience in the field, volunteering in many different capacities and serving on numerous community boards and committees.
