In Longmont, the story of Veterans Community Project has always been a community story.
What began in 2020 as a determined effort to serve Veterans in Colorado has grown into a trusted resource for Veterans across Northern Colorado and the Denver metro area.
In the early years, our focus was on building relationships and meeting Veterans where they were. Outreach services became the foundation of our work, helping Veterans stabilize housing, navigate benefits, access emergency assistance, and reconnect with critical resources. At the same time, our Colorado community rallied around a shared vision to create a Village of tiny homes that would provide safe, dignified housing paired with individualized support.
With extraordinary support from donors, volunteers, businesses, and partners across Colorado, that vision became reality. In 2025, construction was completed on Longmont’s 26-home Veterans Village, creating a neighborhood where Veterans can focus on rebuilding stability and preparing for permanent housing. Today, in 2026, the Village is fully operational, and Veterans continue working alongside dedicated case managers to overcome barriers and build long-term independence.
Each year, the work continues through both Village and Outreach services. Hundreds of Veterans connect with our team for support ranging from eviction prevention and financial assistance to employment readiness and benefits navigation. This work ensures Veterans not only access housing, but maintain it, and build the skills needed to thrive long after leaving our programs. None of this progress would be possible without our Colorado community.
The need across our state remains real, and the opportunity to continue leading meaningful solutions is just as powerful. Together, we are strengthening what has been built and expanding the reach of services that create lasting stability for Veterans.

2025 Longmont impact
18 Veterans were welcomed into our VCP Village, where they will continue to work diligently with their case managers to overcome barriers so they can achieve permanent housing.
85% successful transition rate was achieved in 2025 for Veterans.
213 unique Veterans were served through our Outreach Center.
$110,584 in emergency assistance funds were provided by the community.

Partnership Opportunities
There are many ways you can make a difference in the lives of Veterans.
Mobile Outreach Van—$25,000
1 AVAILABLE
You can help us reach a larger number of Veterans through mobile outreach sponsorship. Our van is on the road throughout northern Colorado, serving Veterans in rural areas from Estes Park and Nederland to Fort Morgan. This van allows the VCP team to go to areas where Veterans might not have access to services. The sponsor will receive prominent logo placement on the van for one year and recognition on social media and our website.
Pantry—$5,000

You can ensure Veterans and their families have access to healthy, nutritious food. Your sponsorship ensures that our outreach center pantry is stocked with various items for food-insecure Veterans in our community and provides a hand-up for newly housed Veterans. The sponsor will receive logo recognition on VCP’s reusable grocery bags.
Winter readiness—$5,000

You can make sure Veterans and their families have access to cold weather gear. Your sponsorship provides hygiene bags, snack kits, cold weather gear and other much needed necessities for the Veterans we serve.
Emergency assistance program—$152,000
We need your help to provide Northern Colorado Veterans who are experiencing a financial crisis with emergency financial assistance and case management.
Because of donor support, Veterans Community Project of Longmont helps roughly 100 Veterans and their families each year stay safely housed and overcome unexpected financial barriers that can quickly lead to homelessness.
Through our Emergency Assistance Fund, your generosity allows us to step in at critical moments—helping cover urgent needs such as rent arrears, essential car repairs that keep Veterans able to work, utility payments that keep homes safe and warm, and other immediate stability supports.
These timely interventions often make the difference between a temporary setback and a housing crisis. By removing these barriers when they arise, donors help Veterans maintain stability, protect their progress, and continue building toward long-term security.
The average investment per Veteran is approximately $987, and each gift has a direct and measurable impact on keeping Veterans and their families housed.

Sponsor the holidays with VCP! Christmas in the Village invites the community to stroll through VCP Village, enjoy carolers, and view the tiny house lighting ceremony. A visit from Santa, holiday treats, and other activities for the kids will make Christmas in the VCP Village a tradition.

Veterans Community Project provides more than just transitional housing for our Northern Colorado-area Veterans.
Our Veterans Outreach Program offers a wide range of support services, such as our Veterans Assistance Program that provides Veterans in crisis with emergency assistance of any kind.
Your support allows VCP to quickly and efficiently respond to local area Veterans, regardless of discharge status, length of service, or any other traditional disqualifier that might prohibit them from accessing help.
Each year, VCP of Longmont services between 150-200 Veterans and their families who are at risk for homelessness, facing eviction, or struggling with basic needs such as:
• Clothing items
• Emergency rental assistance
• Emergency utility assistance
• Employment support
• Health and dental care
• Housing assistance
• Hygiene items

VCP Village of Longmont is a specialized community of 26 transitional homes with on-site wraparound support services designed to equip Veterans with the tools needed to return to a stable, prosperous, independent life.
The Village Center is the heart of the Village, providing a hub for VCP’s robust wraparound support services and case management, while providing a place for residents to connect.
Our Outreach services are open to all of Northern Colorado Veterans in need of assistance, regardless of time served, discharge status, or service type. Some services include emergency assistance funds, necessities, permanent housing placement, health referrals, and services navigation.
The VCP Mobile Outreach Van is an important tool helping us serve Veterans in rural and distant areas of Northern Colorado, connecting them to doctor’s appointments and community-based programs that extend our core framework in a natural, supportive way.
