Veterans Community Project (VCP) of Kansas City is a pioneering initiative focused on fixing Veteran homelessness through transitional housing and comprehensive wraparound support.
Founded in 2016 by a group of combat Veterans, VCP of Kansas City provides Veterans experiencing homelessness with more than just shelter—we offer dignity, stability, and a path forward.
Located at 89th and Troost, VCP of Kansas City features a purpose-built Village of 49 tiny homes, 45 for individuals and 4 for families, designed to provide privacy, comfort, and a strong foundation for rebuilding. Each fully furnished home includes a kitchen, bathroom, furniture, and essentials like food and hygiene items.
Beyond housing, VCP KC delivers wraparound services tailored to each Veteran’s needs. Using the H.O.M.E.S. Index, case managers help Veterans identify goals and track progress in areas like health, income, education, and support systems.
