This spectacular charity event supports the good work being done by our wonderful caregivers at San Luis Obispo’s only not-for-profit hospital. Today, the hospital is undergoing a transformation that will bring advanced technology, enhanced services and upgraded facilities. This will allow our patients to receive the best medical care locally, where it is needed most. All of the funds raised tonight will help us to complete the “French – Well into the Future” campaign. H umanitarian Awar d The Louis Tedone, M.D. Humanitarian Award was established to recognize the extraordinary contributions of those individuals dedicated to building healthier communities. The award honors the legacy of Dr. Tedone and his concern and caring for children in our community. The Louis Tedone, M.D. Humanitarian Award is presented annually by the French Hospital Medical Center Foundation to an individual that meets the following established criteria: • Lifetime dedication to the health and well being of our community • Health care provider or advocate in our community for ten years or more • Represents the core values of Dignity Health and French Hospital—Dignity, Stewardship, Justice, Collaboration and Excellence • Through a professional career or volunteerism, seeks to improve the delivery of health care to our community • Serves others with humility, kindness and professionalism

John and Sandy Dunn John and Sandy Dunn represent the true “spirit of giving back� to their community. Together, they have logged an incredible amount of volunteer hours to support a variety of non-profit organizations devoted to the arts, health care, social services and education. Both combine compassion and commitment with strong leadership and business skills. This combination has touched so many lives in our county; it is hard to imagine where their gentle but strong footsteps have not been. From the Performing Arts Center to the Symphony, from French Hospital to the Women’s Shelter, these represent only a few organizations that have benefited from their passion and dedication to make San Luis Obispo a better place today and in the future. Both John and Sandy represent the genuine meaning of human kindness and dignity. French Hospital Medical Center is proud to present the 2013 Louis Tedone, M.D. Humanitarian Award to John and Sandy Dunn, community leaders and revered members of our community. 3

The 2012 Angel’s Share is a delicious blend of Syrah, Zinfandel, Grenache and Cabernet from some of the Central Coast best wineries. The name ‘Angel’s Share’ is a Kentucky coined phrase that is used to describe the process of evaporation that occurs while bourbon is aging in oak barrels. The evaporation loss is seen as a sign of giving gratitude to the heavens for the plentiful crop that is about to be bottled. A similar process occurs with wine aging and our Angel’s Share. Angel’s Share represents wine donated by local winemakers and purchased by supporters, our Angels, to benefit the patients at French Hospital Medical Center.
