DRESS STANDARDS
Overview Venterra Realty requires all associates to dress professionally and conservatively using the established standards At all times, attire must be without wrinkles, and must not offend or distract customers, visitors, or fellow associates. To ensure consistency, Venterra provides a career apparel benefit for each employee. Employee attire must be from ICO at all times. The only exception to this is on Fridays when all employees may wear their Susan G. Komen T-shirts. Benefit for Employees Each full time employee will receive a benefit of $600 annually for ICO apparel and 1 SGK shirt. Newly Hired Employees All new hires will order from the ICO webpage. Terminates Any employee that is terminated or leaves voluntarily within one year of employment will have the most recent current season’s allowance deducted from their final paycheck and employee will keep clothes.
Wearing Inappropriate Clothing Any associate not meeting the standards set forth will be asked to return home to correct his/her appearance. This time away from work will be considered an unexcused absence and will be without pay. If an associate is unsure of the appropriate dress for his/her work situation, he/she needs to consult the Regional Manager. Accessories/Misc Name tags must be worn at all times. Ankle bracelets, leather bracelets, more than 2 earrings per ear, ear cuffs, nose rings, eyebrow rings, etc. are not allowed. Tattoos may not be visible. Hair is only permitted to be what would be considered a possible natural color (Orange, Blue, Green, Red (fire engine) are not natural) and is subject to RM discretion. All Nails should be limited to 1/2 inch beyond the nail bed with polishes in red, pinks, and natural finishes. No decorations, stripes and designs are permitted. No hats may be worn. Leggings or Spandex are never permitted. WOMEN Below are proper guidelines for women. Suits/Dresses/Skirts/Dress Business attire selections from ICO are required. Below are fit guidelines. Do’s: Wear skirts that extend to the knee or lower. A tailored skirt can be just above the knee, but no minis. Slim straight pencil skirts or slight A-lines are the best options. Business suits, dresses, skirts or coordinated separates are acceptable. Acceptable skirts are not to exceed 3 inches in length from above the knee. Don’ts: No mini-skirts. No knit or spandex skirts. Avoid any full volume or peasant skirts. No denim skirts. Blouses/Shirts Do’s: Choose blouses with structure. Button-down styles with a collar are a good option, but be sure to select ones with darting to complement your shape. Silk, rayon, and some cotton-polyester blends can be good fabric choices. Modal is a better choice than cotton and has a shiny, luxurious look. Don’ts: Blouses / Shirts may not reveal any undergarments. No polo type shirts are allowed. When wearing a sheer blouse, a coordinating camisole must be worn underneath. Shirts that show cleavage are not acceptable. Shirts that rise above the waist if arms are lifted over the head are not acceptable. Shirts that button up the front should not pull or gape at the buttons. Show your femininity through the detailing in your clothes like a tulip-edged skirt or fine ribbon or lace on your silk blouse. Save the sexy low-cut and skimpy tops for evening or weekend wear.
