Este terrain vague , pede para continuar vazio , mas também exige ser significativo e participativo na vida da cidade . Materializa a ideia de espaço expectante , vazio , mas com potencial . Localiza - se numa zona fundamental e estratégica da cidade , podendo ter, desta forma , um papel de grande importância na regeneração da mesma . Parecem faltar espaços que propocionem actividades de grupo/família e que dêm uma nova vida ao centro da cidade . Para isso "iluminamos " o interior do quarteirão , pintando a empena de Cedofeita e o chão da travessa de acesso ao interior do quarteirão pela Rua dos Bragas de amarelo . Isto permite que quem venha do centro (sul ) seja convidado a espreitá - lo. Pretendemos manter o interior do bloco um espaço "secreto ", no sentido de ser íntimo e recatado do alarido da rua dos Bragas e Cedofeita , provocado pelo tráfego automóvel e pela intensa actividade comercial .

Desta forma , desenhamos um atravessamento secreto mas que convide a entrada no lote. Este atravessamento pretende ser participado e acomodar diferentes actividades : parque infantil , auditorio , cinema exterior , etc - que poderão animar o quarteirão .

A proposta parte da ideia de abrir o quarteirão à cidade , tal como nos é sugerido no enunciado do exercício . Para isso "iluminamos " o interior do quarteirão - parte do pavimento e fachadas de forma a oferecer - lhe qualidades espaciais que potenciem vários tipos de actividades .

A condição actual deste vazio urbano faz com que ele não participe na cidade ; fecha - se para a rua através de um muro e de uma ruela também fechada que deixam transparecer o abandono do lote e o descontrolo do crescimento da vegetação no seu interior .
