WHAT IS THE CHILDREN’S PROTECTION CENTER? CPC is a non-profit child advocacy & safety center serving Pulaski County children and families since 2007. We bring compassionate care, competent advocacy & referral to the most appropriate services for the children & their families to overcome the trauma of abuse. We are dedicated to working with a team of professionals to coordinate & track investigative, prosecutorial, child protection, advocacy, & treatment efforts so that a child does not “fall through the cracks.” By supporting Wine Women & Shoes, you directly support Children’s Protection Center in providing a lifeline to children and families at their most vulnerable moments. At CPC, we exist to ensure that children who have experienced abuse are met with safety, dignity, and compassionate care from the very first step forward. While no child should ever have to endure abuse, far too many do—and your support ensures they are never forced to face that journey alone. The path to hope and healing is complex and often overwhelming. CPC brings critical services together under one roof—from forensic interviews and specialized medical care to trauma-focused therapy and advocacy— creating a coordinated, child-centered response that minimizes further harm and promotes healing.

Without CPC, a child may have to tell the worst story of his or her life over & over again, to doctors, law enforcement, lawyers, therapists, investigators, judges & many others. Without early intervention, child abuse causes lifelong issues. CPC creates a safe, secure & childfriendly setting of support & trust.

Our prestigious Sole Men are the epitome of charisma and heart, making Wine Women & Shoes not only meaningful but also an experience that will not soon be forgotten. As our ambassadors, Sole Men engage an audience of remarkable community leaders who come together to sip, shop, and support Children’s Protection Center. These gentlemen are our ambassadors & our gracious hosts - welcoming our guests, escorting them through our Marketplace, refilling wine glasses, serving bites as our guests mix & mingle & assisting in any other way they can. They are sure to be one of the highlights of the night! Currently, behind the scenes, they are competing to be crowned the “King of Sole” with their fundraising efforts. Each man is striving to raise a minimum of $1,000. The man that raises the most money by the end of the event will win & be crowned on stage along with a matching cape & sceptre!
