West Coast VCC Scenicland Rally 2025 – 15 Rivers
The 2025 Scenicland rally was well supported by entries near and far all gathering in the Greymouth Council car park for briefing in the sports hall. I am sure you will agree there was a good turnout (60 originally entered almost equally divided between local and away members) with a variety of vehicles attending the rally as pictures show. The weather was kind as Tanya Gibson (Mayor of Greymouth) set them off. Well most? The one and only motorcycle got its throttle cable strangled by an errant cable tie!

Briefing in sports hall getting ready to set off....

The oldest car in the rally Aunt B belonging to Stewart Nimmo and his crew are off.......

Not quite sure what’s going on here Dave looks on puzzled as Allan fiddles with his bike the rest have gone.....?

Fred and Adrienne (Ruesink) are on the road in the “”Blue Moon” trusty camera at the ready. Thank you for taking many of the pictures used to record the day

The Rally finished in Greymouth and the prize giving and meal was held at the Union Hotel who put on a beautiful spread with good service and an excellent venue where over 100 attended.
At this point a huge thanks have to go to our organisers and sponsors who without their support event would not have been as successful or enjoyable.

All who helped on the day checking quiz results, marshalling, back up duties, emcee duties, sorting out prizes, taking pictures. The list is endless and as we all know a lot of work, miles, phone calls etc goes into to organising events.
Special thanks to Murray Trounsen VCC National office Management Committee for presenting Nick Harrison with his 50 years certificate of membership.
