We’ve always viewed ourselves as one cohesive team. This December, we’re taking our collaboration to the next level with a combined online experience, featuring a new shared website with enhanced features for both VBT and Country Walkers.
What’s Coming
You'll notice more of Country Walkers in this catalog, on our website, and even on tour! Jump ahead to page 156 to explore all the incredible experiences a walking adventure can offer.
More for You
We promise to give you more. Expect more destinations, more ways to explore the world, and a richer online experience with even more helpful information right at your fingertips.
Expect More. Experience Extraordinary.
Last fall, I cycled through the farmlands of Normandy and arrived at the American Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach. It left me speechless. France is always stunning, but the right cycling route can elevate the experience in ways you never expect. Our goal is to create an experience so extraordinary, it not only meets your expectations but leaves them far behind.
Our trip designers seek out inspiring routes, local cuisine that transports you, and charming, character-filled hotels. Our expert leaders will immerse you in the destination like never before.
So, take a moment and think about what you expect from a bike tour. Now picture elevating those expectations to an entirely new level. That’s what we do. That’s what we’re passionate about.
We can’t wait to share this adventure with you.

Happy traveling,
Timo Shaw, President

VBT trip leaders reveal the hidden corners and cultural nuances that most travelers miss. More than guides, they are highly versed in the contours of every charming village you coast into and well-connected to the winemakers and restauranteurs, the farmers and bakery owners who add profound meaning and bright local flavor to your experience. Big-hearted professionals, they work tirelessly to ensure you have the time of your life. Put simply, they’re the kind of people you want to have by your side at every mile of your trip.

Guests love our trip leaders!
Jacopo was not only an organized, gregarious leader, he was a wealth of information, never failing to know the names of various plants and trees, but also their history! Marcello navigated every challenge and made them virtually transparent to us with flexible scheduling, and a few route changes based on his early morning scouting before every ride.
M. Meier, Oklahoma, Italy: Tuscany, Chianti & Marina di Castagneto, 2024
Our leaders, Jelena, Duje and leader-in-training Kristijian made the trip our favorite of five VBT adventures. Their hard work, attentiveness to our safety and enjoyment, knowledge of all things Croatia and fun-loving nature are what really made the trip!
L. Winge, Utah, Croatia Bike & Boat: Split & the Dalmatian Islands, 2024
Of all my VBT trips, this one was one of my favorites. And our trip leaders were the best of all. Olivier and Veronique are amazing.
A. Wenzel, Mexico, France: Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Les Baux & Avignon, 2024
I can’t say enough good things about our leaders, Giuliano and Debora. To all of the rest of you who have raved about your leaders, your leaders couldn’t have been as great as our leaders!
