Get ready for winter league swim season with this pre-season stroke work and conditioning class. Emphasis will be on proper stroke technique, starts and turns. This program gives players with experience the opportunity to play pick-up-style water polo with other experienced players. Coaching staff will be available for rule enforcement and explanation for those who are relatively new to the game or have been out of the loop. BEGINNER BOXING
Looking for a great way to help your child learn the game of basketball and build fundamental skills Seatack Recreation Center is launching a four week program held on Mondays and Fridays. Participants will develop key abilities such as shooting, passing, and dribbling through engaging drills and fun, skill building games.
Join us for a night of fun filled with sports for kids. Your child will be taught basic knowledge of a variety of sports including pickleball, kickball and more. Games will be played to demonstrate the skills taught while keeping it fun & inclusive. Where: Great Neck Rec Center
This boxing class helps to build selfconfidence, self-defense, focus and discipline all while having fun. The class will focus on boxing skill development in areas such as proper stance, footwork, and individual/combination punch. TR FUNDAMENTAL FIT IN MOTION
Facilitators will cover both strength and cardiovascular endurance training and focus on building a strong base of proper form, technique and fundamental movement. Workouts incorporate lower intensity, modified exercises and shorter durations. The strength portion will largely consist of body weight exercises, but some weight exercises will be incorporated. This program is an opportunity for individuals with disabilities who have completed their high school education to participate in therapeutic recreation during the day. Participants will experience a variety of physical and social activities while working on communication, money handling, and decision making skills. Participants will also assist in planning group activities which may include crafts, cooking, horticulture, personal fitness, and more, all while improving or maintaining their current life skills. Participants will be responsible for any admission fees for outings.

This program will run in-person at Kempsville Recreation Center.
