Vaughan is delighted to announce the launch of the Chawton Collection. An exciting combination of contemporary and classic pieces, largely based on late 19th century and early 20th century design. Featuring some familiar favourites, such as the Menerbes Table Lamp – available in two striking new colourways – and the addition of a number of new furniture pieces, mirrors and lights, it continues Vaughan’s foray into the world of luxury design and decoration.
Located in the heart of Hampshire - only a stone’s throw away from Vaughan’s factory - Chawton is known for its ancient woodlands and chalky hills. Famous for being home to Jane Austen in the later years of her life, the village serves as a perfect metaphor for Vaughan’s new collection: showcasing the abundance of the natural world and honouring the products’ historical context too.

Inspired by a mid-century piece, this sideboard has a Japanese aesthetic and combines beech with grass cloth to create a delightful textured effect. The sliding panel as well as the shelves within, make the sideboard a practical piece of furniture which can be used for a variety of storage purposes.
A compelling, minimalist design, this side table stands out with its chamfered edges and crisp lines. Based on an antique original, it houses a narrow drawer with a simple but sophisticated metal handle.

Inspired by the work of architect/designer E.W. Godwin, this side table is compact in size and harks back to the Aesthetic Movement. Available in a black or white finish, its tapered legs and grooved detailing adds gravitas and complexity.

A striking design, this side table is composed of two tiers and is neatly finished with antiqued brass castors. A classic piece, based on an early 19th century antique, it stands out with its crisply defined lines and tapered legs.
Loosely based on an antique, this large, rectangular coffee table has a contemporary feel to it thanks to the combination of clear glass and wooden slats. A pared down design, it is finished with antiqued brass casters.

A contemporary spin on a traditional design, this table takes its inspiration from Morrocan furniture. Usually formed with plain, curved arches, it is given a studded geometric quality that adds intrigue and appeal.

A charming, characterful piece, this Bobbin chair takes its inspiration from 19th century design. Thanks to the addition of either a meranti wood or chalk white finish and the fabric on the upholstered cushions, it maintains a more traditional feel.

Queen Anne in style, this mirror is based on an antique original bought in London. The bevelled edge adds charm and character to this large-scale piece 120cm x 75.7cm. Also available in a smaller size 82.5 x 52.5cm.
A more contemporary design, this oval shaped mirror is framed with an etched sunburst motif in antique mirror glass.

Inspired by an earlier Vaughan design, this mirror is elongated in form and intricately decorated with beading around the frame to satisfying effect. A striking combination of brass and glass, it adds a mid-century flair to the space.
A truly decorative piece, this lantern is festooned ornamentation both around the frame and on the arms. Chain hangs in swags, while foliate motifs are interspersed throughout the design.

Based on an 1940’s French design, this hall lantern marries a flowing shape with clean lines. The brass echoes the warmth of the candles while the ribbed frame is highlighted with small pieces of classical decoration.
