2025 EMPLOYMENT REPORT

FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES OF VANDERBILT BUSINESS:

We are delighted to share the employment outcomes for the Vanderbilt Master of Science in Finance Class of 2025.

Outstanding Employment Outcome: The class tenaciously pursued available opportunities, often through fierce competition. As a result of their persistent endeavors, 97% of job-seeking students secured full-time offers within 6 months of graduation. Both the mean and median salary continued to increase year-overyear.

Our graduates seized the opportunity of financial market activity picking up—46% of the class landed jobs in the highly competitive investment banking sector, with a clear uptick in roles based in New York City. These results reflect the strength of our students’ preparation and the enduring relevance of the MS Finance program in the job market.

We continue to see broad diversification in both employers and job functions. Alongside investment banking, graduates landed roles in investment and wealth management, sales and trading, credit and lending, and consulting across 50+ employers, demonstrating the adaptability of our students and the wide-ranging application of their skill sets across regions and industries. This diversification builds momentum from prior years and reinforces a broader market confidence in Vanderbilt MS Finance talent.

The Network Effect: Networking remains a key differentiator for MS Finance students. Our students effectively leveraged Owen’s and their own resources, turning informed conversations into interviews and offers. We are profoundly grateful to the alumni who share insights and opportunities; their engagement has consistently contributed to a significant share of MS Finance offers. We also extend sincere gratitude to our employer partners for their collaboration, feedback, and trust in our graduates.

The Class of 2025 navigated a competitive recruiting landscape with intensity, strategy, and professional skills. Their dedication to continuous learning and willingness to engage deeply with peers, alumni, and employers helped them translate classroom excellence into meaningful outcomes. We are proud of what they have achieved and are confident they will make a significant impact on their organizations.

Sincerely,
