biography

Master Sergeant Jackson concluded his military career in 2021 as a Senior Engineer Sergeant (12B) with the 412th Theater Engineer Command, capping over three decades of dedicated service. He began his journey in 1992 with Basic Combat Training, followed by Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. His first assignment was with Alpha Company, 467th Engineer Battalion in Memphis, TN, later relocating to Millington. Over the years, he advanced from Private in the 441st Engineer Company to First Sergeant of Headquarters, 467th Engineer Battalion by 2019.

Throughout his career, Master Sergeant Jackson supported multiple deployments, including operations with the 841st Engineer Battalion during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003), the 441st Route Recon Company (2004–2005, 2008), the 323rd Engineer Company (2006–2008), and the 926th Engineer Brigade in Romania (2017). He also served as Detachment First Sergeant and participated in mobilizations to Miami, FL and Fort Stewart, GA.

A native of Hernando, Mississippi, Master Sergeant Jackson is married is married to his beautiful wife Alma and they have a daughter, Ashley ; son in law, Christopher; stepson, Patrick; two granddaughters Chaslyn and Aliyah and grandson, Chance. His professional certifications span Safety Management and Physical Security, and his interests include construction management and organizational leadership.

In addition to his field roles, he held key responsibilities such as Battalion Safety Officer, Physical Security Officer, Operations and Training Specialist, and Facility Coordinator for Army Reserve buildings at the Naval Support Area. These roles involved overseeing operations in alignment with Army Reserve regulations and battalion policies. His military education includes leadership and safety courses such as the First Sergeant Course, Master Leader Course, Physical Security (Phases 1 & 2), Advanced and Basic Noncommissioned Officer Courses, Anti-Terrorism Level I, and Navy Safety and Hazardous Waste Training, among others.

Master Sergeant Jackson’s decorations reflect his commitment and sacrifice, including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal (3 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal (1 Bronze Oak Leaf), and numerous service and campaign medals.
