RATIN G T H E LIFE OF
2 Timothy 4:7-8-New International Version
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
On March 5, 1983, God dispatched a warm sweet spirit baby girl to this earth that grew into an amazing woman, Takeisha Yvonne Laws Johnson was to the late Myron Laws and JoAnn Laws. Known for her joyful and sweet spirit, making a positive impact on all those she encountered.
Takeisha's faith was a central part of her life. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized initially at Deliverance Tabernacle Pentecostal Church under the leadership of the late Bishop E.M. Fondren. Later in life, she became a dedicated member of Sure Foundation Church, serving faithfully for seven great years and participating in the choir ministry.
Takeisha found joy in her relationship with Jesus, embracing her faith as saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost-filled, and LOVED singing unto voice of triumph.
At a young age, Takeisha's aunt, Edna Joyner, formed a family singing group that included Takeisha, her sister Shetika Laws, and their cousins Chauncey Joyner, Shunda Bramlett, and Chancie Bramlett. This group sang together for 16 years.
Beyond her deep faith, Takeisha Yvonne Laws Johnson held a profound love for her family, placing them as her second most important priority after God. She was known for her cheerful disposition and always sought to uplift and inspire others, making a significant positive impact on their lives.
Takeisha leaves to rejoice in her homegoing husband, Rodney Johnson, and their five children: Rod’dravious, Rashawn, Joshua, Bryson, and Kneilah Johnson. She also leaves behind her niece, Tuniah Ellis, whom she raised from birth; her mother, JoAnn Laws; and her sister, Shetika Laws. Her nieces and nephews, Jazhara Ellis, Kaleel Ellis, Pierre Jr., Jamarion, and Braylen will also miss her greatly, along with her goddaughter, Jessica, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles who loved her dearly.

I taught you all so much throughout the years
Except how to stop your falling tears
Cry for a while but not for long
Remember my legacy
And know that I am now home
Resting in the promised land
As I lived to do
Praying one day I’ll reunite with each of you
With each of you I left a special bond
That will provide you strength
When you feel you have no one
I will miss you all
Just as you will all miss me
And I’ll always be a prayer away
In your time of need
I love you all dearly
You were my whole world
And I will forever be “Your favorite Lil girl”
Whenever you think of me
Just know that I’m near
Think of our last words
And hold them dear
Love on each other, don’t let my
Teaching be void and don’t worry about me
Because I am now resting with my Lord!
Of all the special moments great or small, having you as my wife was the greatest gift of all. May the winds of love blow softly and whisper in your ear. I love and miss you and wish that you were still here, deep in my heart your life will keep love and cherish never forgotten. No more tomorrows can share but the memories will forever be there.
They say there is a reason. They say time will heal, neither time nor reason will change the way we feel. Gone are the days we use to share but in our hearts you will forever be there. Lots of memories will never be forgotten. We miss you more than anyone knows and know that your OLDEST SON ROD WILL LOVE, MISS AND REMEMBER YOU UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
FLY HIGH MOMMA
Since the moment I lost you, my mind has been plagued with many questions. But I’ve come to understand that this life, and death does happen. We worked and strived to build something meaningful out of this corrupt poverty-stricken world. I thought you would enjoy the rewards with me, but I now understand that there were greater rewards for you up there, I hope you will leave some for me, I’m doing my best to live my life. See you in a better place, our daughter and sister.
Saying goodbye feels impossible. You were the heart of our family, and the light that warmed every room you entered. You gave us the value of Kindness, hard work, and faith, not just through your words, but through the way you lived every day. Your laughter was our comfort, and you love was our safe place. Though are no longer here with us, you spirit will live on in our memories, our traditions, and the way we love one another. We will carry you lessons in our hearts forever. Rest peacefully, Ms. Keisha, until we meet again
Your love is like no other so genuine and strong, yet we mourn immeasurable. When you left us to go home, we all prayed for your healing. I wish I knew this from the beginning that you were leaving us so soon, but you’re at peace sound asleep. Please watch over us we are not ready to leave you.
