We thought of you with love today but that is nothing new, we thought about you yesterday and days before that too, we think of you in silence we often speak your name all we have are memories and your picture in a frame your memory is our keepsake with which we’ll never part God has you in his keeping we have you in our heart.

At the age of seven, Destiny accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She faithfully worshipped and served as a member of Alvis Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where her quiet spirit, kind heart, and steadfast faith were evident throughout her life.
Destiny was a beautiful young woman, both inside and out. Her warm smile, gentle nature, and compassionate heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Soft-spoken and full of grace, she had a calming presence that brought comfort and peace to those around her. She loved spending quality time with her family and friends, and her greatest joy was creating memories with the people she loved most. Destiny also had a passion for singing and cooking. A natural peacemaker, she always sought to bring harmony to every situation, treating everyone with kindness, respect, and unconditional love. Destiny was a proud graduate of South Panola High School, where she was an active member of the band and color guard. She continued her education at Hinds Community College in Raymond, Mississippi, earning an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Determined to make a positive difference in the lives of others, she was pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice at Delta State University at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Ben Patterson, Maxine Swearengen, and Mary Winters. Although Destiny's earthly journey has come to an end, her beautiful spirit, loving heart, and precious memories will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her devoted parents, Baxter and Andrea Swearengen; her loving grandfather, Herman Winters Jr.; her three cherished sisters, Shanterius Swearengen, Kelsey Nunally, and Danielle Swearengen; her four beloved nephews, Jalynn Hawkins, Ky'Ri Moore, Bricen Moore, and Karter Taylor; one niece, Trinity Thomas; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the love, warmth, and light she brought into their lives.Her memory will also continue to live on through the many friendships she formed during her time at Delta State University, where her beautiful smile, caring heart, and gentle spirit touched countless lives.
