“One of the most valuable aspects of my academic journey has been utilizing my professors, as they have been instrumental in my learning and personal development. I believe that students should recognize that professors are there to help, and my experience has been enriched by their guidance and expertise. Initially, I began as a health science student and was part of the physician assistant program at Valpo. However, throughout my undergraduate years, I found myself more drawn to the healthcare leadership courses, realizing that while I was passionate about healthcare, I preferred a role that was not directly hands-on with patients. After reflecting on my interests and seeking advice from my mentors and family, I transitioned to the healthcare leadership path.
