Healthcare is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country, and it needs smart, capable leaders to run it. Valpo’s healthcare leadership program prepares you for the business side of healthcare, teaching you how organizations work, how to lead teams, and how to make decisions that improve both operations and patient care.
If you’ve got a head for business and a heart for helping people, this program puts both to work. You’ll take courses in finance, marketing, quality improvement, human resources, and organizational leadership — all through the lens of healthcare. You’ll learn how hospitals, clinics, and health agencies actually operate, and you’ll graduate ready to step into roles where your decisions make a real difference.
Along the way, you’ll complete an internship or practicum that gets you inside a real healthcare organization, building the hands-on experience employers look for. And if you want to go further, Valpo offers a 4+1 pathway that lets you earn a master of healthcare administration in just one additional year. Graduates leave prepared to lead teams, navigate complex systems, and make a difference as effective and ethical healthcare leaders.

Through practicum placements, you’ll work alongside professionals, see how daily operations unfold, and understand how leadership decisions ripple through an organization.
