SWIMRUN
Vale do Lobo is collaborating with SwimRun Portugal to organise the 1 st edition of the event, a race included in the National Circuit. This is set to be made up of two courses, one with a length of 24 km (standard) and the other 14 km (sprint). SwimRun is a relatively recent sport that involves multiple transitions between swimming in open water and running along the stunning trails around Vale do Lobo. The sport gives participants the freedom to explore our surrounding nature in the purest possible way, respecting themselves, the partner they are competing alongside, others and, of course, the environment. CAPTAIN'S DAY
The Captain's Day scheduled for 24 th September is a popular annual event on the Golf Club's agenda with strong participation from Club members and a competitive spirit. The iconic Captains Day competition draws together many members every year and sees the entire golfing community of Vale do Lobo enjoying some challenging golf moments.
The competition is held on the Vale do Lobo Golf Courses and the format is usually in pairs teams, betterball, stableford, 90% handicap. After the golf there is a dinner in Spikes from 19:00 with prize giving and drinks accompanied by a three course meal and live music organised by the Captains.

NEW ART EXHIBITION
This month, the Aderita Artistic Space gallery debuts yet another art exhibition, Le Fil d'Ariane, by artist Dominique Vaes . The charity shops have been increasingly important in supporting the lifesaving work of ARA, and so far counts with the invaluable help of 42 unpaid volunteers. The pioneer concept in the Algarve sees that second-hand, highquality products are given a new life. With a philosophy built around addressing the pressing issues of environmental sustainability, social equality, and animal rescue, WOOFF takes pride in the amount of real change afforded with each purchase.
ANIMAL RESCUE ALGARVE
Animal Rescue Algarve was founded in early 2018, and ever since has
confronts us with resilience. Born in Belgium, Dominique Vaes pursued an academic career in fine arts, after which she went on to found a textile brand called "Manjishta" in honour of the common madder root, which is used to produce red pigment used to dye textiles. The natural dyes used create a refined dialogue between various human forms and the precious materials dear to her, like silk, cashmere, linen, and antique hemp. An exhibition not to be missed!
rescued and treated over 1000 animals, rehoming an excess of 900 of them (mostly dogs and cats). ARA’s world-class shelter, located at Cabanita, Loulé, took 3 million euros to build so far. Aside from building costs, it takes an average of 400.000 euros a year in running costs to support three key areas: veterinary services and interventions, animal feed, staffing. ARA is also committed to the role of Education in animal welfare. Recurrent visits to schools in Loulé and beyond, have been a major focus of the charity, in order to inform younger generations on the importance of caring for animal lives; a sure investment on a better future for all. In the same spirit, students
and teachers alike often visit and volunteer at the Cabanita shelter to better understand the reality of these animals and those who care for them. Animal Rescue Algarve also actively contributes to the betterment of human lives and dynamization of the region, either through the 20 people employed by the charity, or the over 900 WorkAway international volunteers who have been involved with the shelter for the past three years. Both WOOFF and ARA are always looking for new ways to increase the reach and impact of their work.

A forma pioneira de ajudar os animais, os seres humanos e o ambiente, uma compra de cada vez. A sigla WOOFF significa “Worn Only Once Furniture and Fashion” e é um apelo ao trabalho inovador para promover a sustentabilidade do bem-estar animal, humano e ambiental no Algarve. Fundada pela conceituada e premiada instituição de caridade “Animal Rescue Algarve”, a WOOFF conta com duas localizações, uma em Almancil e outra em Loulé. As lojas de caridade têm sido cada vez mais importantes no apoio ao trabalho de resgate de vidas da ARA, e até à data conta com a ajuda de 42 voluntários não remunerados. O conceito pioneiro no Algarve vê os produtos de segunda mão e de alta qualidade ganharem uma nova vida. Com uma filosofia construída em torno da abordagem das questões prementes da sustentabilidade ambiental, igualdade social e resgate de animais, a WOOFF orgulha-se da verdadeira mudança obtida por cada aquisição.
ANIMAL RESCUE ALGARVE
A Animal Rescue Algarve foi fundada no início de 2018 e desde então já
Dominique Vaes nasceu na Bélgica e após uma carreira académica em artes plásticas, criou uma marca têxtil chamada "Manjishta" em honra à cultura indiana e à garança, a raiz que produz alizarina vermelha. Os corantes naturais utilizados estabelecem um diálogo refinado entre as diferentes morfologias humanas e diferentes materiais apreciados pela artista, tais como: seda, caxemira, linho e cânhamo antigo. Uma exposição para visitar!
resgatou e tratou mais de mil animais, realojando cerca de 900 destes (na sua maioria cães e gatos). O abrigo de primeira classe da ARA, situado em Cabanita, Loulé, levou até hoje cerca de 3 milhões de euros para ser construído. Para além dos custos da construção, são necessários, em média, 400 mil euros por ano em despesas para apoiar três principais áreas: serviços e intervenções veterinárias, alimentação animal e recrutamento. A ARA está também empenhada no papel da educação do bem-estar animal. As visitas regulares a escolas em Loulé e não só, têm sido um dos principais focos a fim de informar as gerações mais novas sobre a importância de cuidar da vida animal; um investimento seguro num futuro melhor para todos. espírito, tanto estudantes como professores visitam frequentemente e são voluntários no abrigo Cabanita para melhor compreenderem a realidade dos animais e daqueles que cuidam deles. A Animal Rescue Algarve também contribui ativamente para a melhoria da vida humana e dinamização da região, quer através de 20 pessoas empregadas pela instituição, quer através dos mais de 900 voluntários internacionais da WorkAway que têm estado a ajudar o abrigo nos últimos três anos. Tanto a WOOFF como a ARA estão sempre à procura de novas formas de aumentar o alcance e impacto do seu trabalho.

GUEST DAYS
O próximo Guest Day está agendado para 24 de setembro no Ocean Golf Course. Esta iniciativa, que é dedicada aos Membros do Clube de Golfe e do Clube de Proprietários, permite aos membros convidarem os seus amigos e familiares a jogar a um preço especial de €50 por green fee, o que também se aplica aos portadores dos cartões Family de Vale do Lobo. NOVA FROTA DE VEÍCULOS DO RESORT CONTROL
A segurança e o conforto da nossa comunidade é uma das nossas prioridades. Em Vale do Lobo, dispomos de uma equipa de profissionais do Departamento de Resort Control que operam 24h por dia, todos os dias do ano, assistindo em diferentes pedidos. Para garantir a qualidade do serviço prestado, desde o final de maio que a frota de veículos tem sido renovada, com novas viaturas que primam por serem mais sustentáveis e menos ruidosas. Até ao momento a nova frota conta com 4 carros: Toyotas Yaris e Yaris Cross, e ainda os silenciosos Renault Twizzy.

SWIMRUN
Vale do Lobo em colaboração com a SwimRun Portugal , está a organizar a 1ª edição do evento SwimRun , uma prova inserida no circuito nacional da modalidade e que terá dois percursos de 24km (standard) e 14km (sprint). O SwimRun é uma modalidade desportiva relativamente recente que envolve múltiplas transições entre a natação em águas abertas e a corrida pelos nos deslumbrantes trilhos que se desenvolvem ao redor de Vale do Lobo. Nesta modalidade a liberdade de explorar a nossa natureza envolvente da forma mais pura possível, com respeito por si mesmo, pelo seu parceiro de equipa, pelos outros e claro pelo meio ambiente. TORNEIO DE PADEL DOS MEMBROS DO RESORT

TRIBUTO A QUEEN
No passado dia 27 de agosto tivemos um concerto excecional de tributo a QUEEN pela Orquestra Clássica e pela Orquestra Nacional de Jovens num evento único e exclusivo que deliciou todos os presentes. O Parque do Golfe contou com lotação esgotada neste concerto com vista para o pôr-do-sol que se vislumbra do campo de golfe.
