Summer has officially come around at the resort, bringing a whole host of exciting announcements. The first is the reopening of the pool at Well Beach Club. July also promises lots of fun and events with a full schedule of special concerts, including Aurea’s first-ever performance at the resort. The sound of music will continue to ring out at Vale Real, surrounded by nature and overlooking one of the most beautiful lakes on the resort's golf courses. NEW ART EXHIBITION

This month, the Aderita Artistic Space gallery debuts another art exhibition: Underneath Perception, by artist Fátima Sardinha. The exhibition will be open to the public, admission-free, from the 8th to 31st July, on Mondays from 14:00 to 18:00, and from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00. Fátima's work reflects a whole host of contradictory meanings based on her values, her way of seeing the world, and how she expresses herself through her work.

WOLF VALLEY CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Wolf Valley Charity Golf Tournament was held on the 4 th of June at Vale do Lobo Ocean Course. The course was presented in immaculate condition. All golfers enjoyed a fun day of friendly competition. There were some excellent scores and many

scores in the 40s. Our special congratulations go to the following :

- 1 st place : Roger Moulding and Wayne Mullins (VDL) 50 points

- 2 nd place : Darren Devlin and Mirren Scott (Parque de Floresta) 49 points

- 3 rd place : Craig Walsh and Alan Bell (Boavista) 46 points (Card play-off)

Many thanks to all the participants for raising over €10,500 on the day. Your donations will be greatly appreciated by the Ukrainian Refugees who need our help in these desperate times.

The newly renovated Beach Club is now open to the public. After an extensive refurbishment, the Club is now back with a bang! Located at the Vale do Lobo Praça next to the exclusive Well restaurant, the upstairs Beach Club offers an unrivalled sea view and the largest swimming pool in the Golden Triangle area. The most significant addition is the new kids

pool area, designed with the little ones in mind. The kid’s pool was created specifically for children to enjoy playtime safely where they can be close to the family. Combining Strength Training and endurance training is directly related to an increase in performance in long duration efforts. Strength training enhances neurological adaptations (recruitment of motor units) and consequently increases muscle strength. When cycling training is complemented with strength training, there is an increase in pedaling efficiency associated with a decrease in heart rate and blood lactate for the same

A combinação do treino de força com o treino de endurance está associada a um aumento da performance em esforços de longa duração. O treino de força potência adaptações neurológicas (recrutamento de unidades motoras) e consequentemente o aumento da força muscular. Quando o treino de ciclismo é complementado com o de força verifica-se um aumento da eficiência da pedalada associada à diminuição da frequência cardíaca e do lactato

sanguíneo para a mesma potência produzida, que significa mais potência com um menor esforço Para além disso, quando realizado um esforço máximo (Sprint) após um esforço de longa duração, os atletas que realizaram treino de força apresentaram um aumento

da potência média em relação aos outros. O que sugere que a capacidade de realizar um sprint no final de uma etapa seja maior se o atleta realizar treino de força.
