. . . From v-'Y Desk ,IEpI LOOK PRESENTATION NIGHT A SUCCESS - WITH RESERVATIONS! ÂťLhaugh we were reasonably pleased with the overall ~amp of the "old" Vote Count, there were undeniably certain ,- is which were not successful. The poor provision of the entertainment" by Crown was clearly inappropriate, and we ~f:e VAFA) distance ourselves from that sort of humor - th e nect of entertainment selection and other areas for trnprovement will be looked at in future planning . These aspects aside, the night afforded the Association th e c1ance of recognising the "Stars" of the season and we congratulate the following best and fairest winners : A. Bernard Dinneen (Marceiin) B: Matt McConvill (Ormond) C : Scott McPherson (Old Essendon Dl: David Williams (Ganyule) D2 : Adam Cannane (West Brunswick) D3: David SLutin (Bentieigh) D4: Grant Vanderkruk (Syndal Tally Ho) d the Umpire of the Year - Mark Gibson. The business end of the season is well and truly here. In A section . Can St Bernards regroup after a disappointing second semi effort. . There is no doubt they are good enough and their form suggests they have a bad one and then a terriffic game to follow up . Should be a beauty, a toss of my coin sees St Kevins in a thriller. jAnG will win the right to In B section I think Old bge meet De La Salle in the GF. Hampton Rovers' win was full of character in the C section prelim, and I think this winning form will enable them to take out the C section flag against the boys from Old Essendon . I reckon Banyule will put in a huge one for stalwart and Dl best and fairest player Dave Williams' last game and take the Dl section flag.
Mentone Amateurs have been the D2 form side all year and will take out the D2 flag. Similarly in D3 Fitzroy Reds should be the premiers tonight . TO CONTACT THE WRITER WITH COMMENTS OR INFORMATION Direct all correspondence to Phil Stevens - 9531 2050 (fax) or phiKavafa .asn.au
