Dear Colleagues,

As we leave the first half of 2025 behind, I feel a deep sense of pride in everything we have achieved together so far I am especially delighted that on the first of July we successfully opened our new hotel, the Mamaison Hotel Chain Bridge Budapest This milestone is not only an important step forward for CPI Hotels Hungary, but also a tangible result of the hard work and dedication of many colleagues

The opening of the hotel was made possible after many months of persistent preparation, in which a great number of colleagues took part I would like to thank each of You for the expertise, patience, and enthusiasm you contributed to making this success a reality! The experiences of the first days have confirmed that we are on the right track, and our hotel will soon become a key player in downtown tourism

Let us also not forget the three actively operating hotels that continue to prove themselves month after month and remain solid pillars of CPI Hotels Hungary. My thanks go to You as well for your work over the past half year!

As we step into the second half of the year, we want to carry this same momentum forward, and I trust that we will all continue our work with the same enthusiasm and commitment We will certainly need this perseverance, as in the coming months another significant milestone awaits us: the opening of the Mamaison Vibe Hotel Downtown Budapest I know that with the strength of our team, we will meet this challenge successfully, and together we will take yet another big step forward

I wish to express my deepest gratitude to each and every Colleague for your hard work and dedication. It is a great honour for me to have such a passionate and professional team standing behind me and behind CPI Hotels Hungary.

Let us make the second half of 2025 just as memorable as the first – together, supporting one another!

This semester stood out in terms of trainings, as we had colleagues visiting from the Czech Republic who held Protel training sessions for both the Front Office and other departments.

Additionally, experts from our central office delivered insightful sessions to the Front Office team of Mamaison Hotel Chain Bridge Budapest, covering topics like the importance of protocol and professional appearance

The HR department also actively organized crosstrainings: over the past six months, 10 colleagues got a glimpse into the daily work and operations of a department of their choice. Cross-training will resume in September, so those who previously registered will also have their turn.

The HR team holds Induction trainings for newly joining colleagues every three months, as usual This semester was special because one of the Induction trainings was conducted specifically for the members of our newly opened hotel, the Mamaison Hotel Chain Bridge Budapest

The goal of the Induction training is always to help new team members get to know the values, organizational culture, and operations of the hotel group and, of course, to connect with each other.

Doing good feels good and nothing proves this better than our shared charitable experiences over the past few months Once again, our company didn’t remain idle when it came to helping others: our colleagues participated joyfully and enthusiastically in several socially impactful initiatives

We assembled care packages for the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta to support families in need We also joined the nationwide TeSzedd! litter collection campaign, helping to keep our environment clean and promote sustainability

Through the HotelHero Hungary initiative, we prepared and distributed 300 portions of freshly cooked food and fresh fruit with the team of Heti Betevő

We wrapped up our charity actions with the #nemluxustáska campaign, where we supported women in need by donating thoughtfully assembled care bags because we believe small acts of kindness carry great power

Sound Bath

Our first wellbeing event took place on January 27 colleagues enjoyed a unique sound bath and relaxation session with intuitive sound instruments, helping them release daily stress

Krav maga

The second wellbeing event in February was a Krav Maga practice session. On February 12, 15 enthusiastic colleagues dove into the basics of this self-defense technique to release tension more actively compared to the sound bath

Krav Maga aims to prepare individuals to recognize and effectively respond to violent situations We highly recommend trying it at least once in life!

On March 19, we hosted a special balcony gardening workshop led by an expert from Zsámboki Biokert, sharing tips on growing herbs and turning balconies into green oases After the lecture, everyone planted herbs and took home a small piece of nature

Yoga

Our April program focused on spine yoga, which improves posture and helps relieve stress Colleagues moved, stretched, breathed and laughed at challenging poses Mental and physical health is a foundation of successful organizations, and we’re happy to see so many taking care of themselves at work!

Board Game Nights

Organized enthusiastically by Merci Nagy, our monthly board game nights offer a fun way for colleagues to relax and recharge after work Laughter, friendly competition, and shared experiences strengthen team cohesion

We try a different game each month, exploring both classics and new favorites, encouraging new connections and smoother cooperation at work.

We encourage everyone to join us — fun is guaranteed!

FAMILY DAY

At the end of May, we hosted a special Family Day in the Andrássy parking lot alongside the CPI Wardrobe and Garage Sale Kids enjoyed games and a great concert, while adults competed in mini team challenges like tug of war, beer and wine pong! The evening ended with an exciting shuffle dance performance and workshop led by our colleague, Gabi Eszes Thank you to everyone who came!

In May, we joined Ági Szabados' national initiative, the “No Time to Read” challenge in its corporate version. Currently, 23 colleagues are reading together, and at the end of each month, we gather to discuss our impressions and share thoughts

The book club is a truly inspiring opportunity to dive into different books as a community with shared goals, while expanding our knowledge, broadening our horizons, and getting to know each other better

BOOK CLUB

BGE Career Fair

Our HR team once again participated in the Budapest Business School (BGE) Career Fair, as we currently collaborate with many university students through various internship programs

Several full-time colleagues began their careers at our hotels as BGE interns and now hold supervisor or office roles

Our booth was a hit, especially thanks to the delicious muffins made by our amazing pastry team.

Employee Experience – Anna Veréb Visited Frankfurt

“IMEX Frankfurt was truly a memorable experience Between May 20–22, 2025, I traveled with several Hungarian partners, which in itself was valuable it was great to strengthen existing connections and chat about the industry, even with competitors.

I met many new partners, including some we already work with but had never met in person in Hungary Meeting them face-toface was a real highlight!

Together with our Czech and Italian colleagues, we managed to explore new opportunities through real teamwork It was a tiring but very productive three days I hope we can attend again next year!”

Sport Challenge – Run with Us at the SPAR Marathon!

This challenge was created to encourage collective exercise, motivate each other, and prepare as a team for the SPAR Budapest Marathon on October 11–12, 2025.

Join us, collect your kilometers between August 1 and October 11, and put yourself to the test: let’s be more active together for a shared goal!

We are excited to announce that our hotel group’s brand-new Onboarding website launched on August 1!

The site aims to support the integration of new employees while also serving as an up-to-date resource for existing staff on daily operations.

A P P O I N T M E N T S

The months leading up to June were focused on preparing the Mamaison Hotel Chain Bridge Budapest. A part of our team worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was in place for the big moment

On July 1, the hotel officially opened its doors.

Just like Mamaison Hotel Andrássy Budapest and Mamaison Residence Izabella Budapest, our new hotels will also operate closely together The majority of the leadership team will manage their departments at both the Mamaison Hotel Chain Bridge Budapest and the Mamaison Hotel Vibe Budapest Downtown.

Meet our new Management Team!

Diána has held leadership positions since 2014 and served as an auditor for the Hungarian Tourism Quality Certification Body since 2022 From 2021, she was General Manager of the Riva Hotels in Szeged She now leads both Mamaison Hotel Chain Bridge Budapest and Mamaison Vibe Hotel Budapest Downtown.

Balázs Nikoletta, Housekeeping Manager

Niki has worked abroad and in prestigious Budapest hotels such as Kempinski, Matild Palace, and Corinthia Most recently, she was Executive Housekeeper at InterContinental Budapest She now serves as Housekeeping Manager for both hotels

What to Expect This Year

The second half of the year also holds plenty of excitement, as we are preparing more wellbeing programs for you, and of course, our highly successful book club will continue, where we look forward to welcoming you with new and engaging readings and conversations

We plan to participate in the SPAR Marathon and join further charity initiatives As always, we expect to host our Charity Christmas Market and year-end Christmas party

We are also preparing to introduce a news/community portal as part of our Onboarding expansion, along with performance reviews and engagement surveys.

Lastly, preparations are beginning for our next big challenge: opening the Mamaison Hotel Vibe Budapest Downtown

BUDCY Turns 15 - Our hotel has reached a milestone birthday: Courtyard by Marriott Budapest City Center has now been welcoming guests for 15 years. To mark the occasion, colleagues were invited to a festive lunch combined with a Town Hall Meeting, complete with a rich selection of desserts – and of course, the celebration would not have been complete without a birthday song and the traditional cakecutting

Following the GM’s celebratory speech, we also recognized those colleagues who have been with us since the very beginning, sharing in our successes for the past 15 years

Gábor Vaiser, Gábor Járási, Adri Jelencsik-Horváth and Józsi Császka joined the Courtyard’s founding team in March 2010, while everyone’s “Zsuzsika” Horváth became part of the team in June 2010. We are sincerely grateful for their loyalty and outstanding work – as the story of BUDCY would not be complete without their dedication

The cheerful birthday gathering gave us an opportunity to look back together on the early days and to look forward to the next 15 years –because the true value of BUDCY lies in the people who work here

But the celebrations didn’t end there: with the sup where we celebrated the hotel’s anniversary together with our business partners We raised a toast to BUDCY’s 15 successful years and shared another birthday cake, making the event a warm, festive occasion to reflect on our milestones together and look forward to future challenges and successes

CARING IN HOTEL STYLE

After last year’s busy end, Izabella entered a quieter period in terms of projects Following the lobby/breakfast area renovation, fine-tuning took place here, which included the acquisition of various equipment and serving items, as well as the final design touches, created personally for us by Zoltán Varró

In 2025, we can once again say that we are one of the key accommodation providers for film projects, which means we host many long-term guests

At the same time, we continue to place great emphasis on remaining accessible for individual travelers as well, ensuring we can fully meet the needs of both target groups.

Guest satisfaction, which was already high, has continued to improve in this property too Step by step we are moving forward, and we currently hold a 9.1 rating on Booking.com.

For the remainder of the year, we plan to replace the garden parasol and carry out minor upgrades in the fitness area In addition, a new intercom system and the renovation of the entrance door are also planned for this year

This year still holds several projects, primarily concerning the hotel side of operations

These include a facelift of the lobby and reception desk, the ongoing elevator renovation, and last but not least, preparing the plans for a future large-scale renovation

I am proud of the Team: thanks to their hard work, training, and dedication, the reputation of the Andrássy Hotel has reached heights not seen in a long time

On Booking.com, we have already achieved a score of 8.9, and we continue to receive excellent feedback from our guests.

But we all know – we won’t stop here
