Guest Artist Bio
Marco Pacassoni is an Italian vibraphonist, marimbist, composer, and educator known for his dynamic blend of jazz, Latin, and contemporary fusion styles. A graduate of the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro and Berklee College of Music (cum laude), he has performed and recorded with artists such as Michel Camilo, Alex Acuña, and Raphael Gualazzi.
Winner of the 2005 Chicco Bettinardi Jazz Award for Best Italian Jazz Talent, Pacassoni has released acclaimed albums including Finally…, Happiness, Grazie, Frank & Ruth (a tribute to Frank Zappa and Ruth Underwood), and Life. An active educator, he teaches percussion at Liceo Musicale Marconi in Pesaro and presents international masterclasses across Europe, the U.S., Australia, and Asia.
His performances showcase the vibraphone and marimba as expressive, front-line instruments, blending technical mastery with a warm, melodic sensibility that bridges genres and audiences worldwide.
