Admission requirements vary by program. In addition to meeting program requirements, applicants must submit a UT San Antonio Graduate Admissions Application, a nonrefundable application fee, and all requested documentation, including unofficial transcripts from all previous institutions. Additionally, our graduate admission process for our eight academic colleges is streamlined. -- future.utsa.edu/graduate

Please note the admission process is different for our Health Science Center schools. International students also have additional requirements, which can be found on our website at future.utsa.edu/international

Upload your transcripts, test scores and requested documentation through the Graduate Admissions Application by the program deadline.

3 Activate myUTSA ID

After submission, you will receive an email to activate your myUTSA ID and gain access to the myUTSA Admissions portal to check your status.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

To receive federal, state and institutional funding through financial aid, you must submit your FAFSA with UT San Antonio's school code 010115. To maximize your aid, submit the FAFSA by our priority deadlines (May 1 for Fall, Nov 1 for Spring). -- future.utsa.edu/gr-funding

For institutional scholarships, all applicants must submit the General Application on our Scholarship Hub by Jan 15. Additional scholarships are added throughout the year. Non-resident students receiving a $1,000 or more competitive scholarship can qualify for in-state tuition rates. -- onestop.utsa.edu/hub

Assistantships and Fellowships

Our academic colleges and departments offer various assistantships through Graduate Assistant (GA), Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) and Teaching Assistant (TA) positions. For doctoral students, competitive fellowship packages are available that usually include tuition and fee funds, a stipend and employment as either a GA, GRA, or TA. Check with your college or department of interest for available opportunities.

In addition, our Graduate School has additional programs to support students on their academics, such as travel funds to present your research or scholarly work.

One of our signature events is the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition, where students present their work in a compelling three-minute talk for a general audience, with prizes available.
