OFFICIAL PROGRAM

WELCOME TO THE 23RD EDITION OF HOKA UTMB® MONT-BLANC! It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to this new edition of HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers, partners, service providers, local authorities, tourism and mountain professionals, mountain hut guardians, and alpine farmers who make this event possible. And of course, thank you to all of you, runners, supporters, and spectators, for joining us this year and helping make this week an extraordinary adventure. Your passion and commitment are the driving force behind this remarkable human adventure.

SHARING EMOTIONS, TOGETHER Since 2003, HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc has brought together thousands of trail running and mountain enthusiasts. For the 23rd time, we come together to celebrate this extraordinary sport and its values of pushing personal limits, solidarity, and respect. This week is a celebration where children and adults, amateur and elite runners alike, can experience unforgettable emotions together. To ensure this remains a celebration for everyone, we invite you to respect the magnificent region that welcomes us and the people who call it home.

TOGETHER, REDUCING OUR IMPACT Reducing our impact is a strong commitment shared by everyone at UTMB Group, every day of the year. During event week, we need your support to help make a difference. Once again this year, we’ve done everything possible to ensure you can travel to and around the event without the need for a personal vehicle. That’s why we’re investing €500,000 in our UTMB Mobility transportation plan. In 2025, more than 13,000 people traveled on UTMB buses, helping reduce road congestion and preserve the tranquility of the surrounding natural areas. Let’s make that number even higher in 2026, we’re counting on you to take up the challenge! Regional and sustainably sourced aid stations, zero single-use plastic bottles, food waste recovery, and much more: discover all of our commitments on www.montblanc.utmb.world/fr/impact-report.

PROTECTING OUR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

4

Protecting the natural environment is one of our highest priorities. Throughout the year, our organization actively carries out environmental preservation initiatives. Working alongside local associations, we help restore and maintain the trails to ensure they remain accessible and protected for years to come. During event week, our Environmental Ambassadors cover more than 800 km of trails, installing dedicated signage in environmentally sensitive areas and helping keep the trails clean. As participants and visitors, we invite you to discover this remarkable region with care and respect. Please respect the local wildlife and flora, as well as all private property and agricultural land along the course. Dispose of all your waste responsibly and leave nature exactly as you found it, so that everyone can continue to enjoy it.

ECO-RESPONSABILITY With the event based around the Mont-Blanc, a region that is unique in the world, it is vital that we remain committed to our values and develop all the necessary measures to conserve this extraordinary natural environment.

G.E.S.I.

ECO-RESPONSIBLE AID STATIONS

The GESI Charter (International Sustainable Sports Events), which the HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc joined from the outset, has gradually permeated every level of the organization. Today, this commitment is reflected in three main pillars of action: environment, territories, and inclusion.

Since 2017, we have been working to make our aid stations more sustainable while rethinking the traditional race aid station experience. For example, we offer vegetarian options at selected aid stations.

All aspects of the event - logistics, aid stations, volunteer coordination, etc. - incorporate initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact, promoting the regions crossed by the race, and encouraging more inclusive participation. The goal is clear: to make the HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc a model of sustainability in the world of sport.

To support short supply chains and local businesses, as many products as possible are sourced from the municipality hosting each aid station (such as bread and cheese). When this is not possible, products are sourced from the surrounding department or, wherever possible, from France, Italy, or Switzerland, with preference given to organically certified products.

PROTECTED NATURAL AREAS

« BRING YOUR OWN UTENSILS »

The HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc races pass through conservation areas in France, Italy and Switzerland. Please follow the signs indicating the rules in force. In all cases, camping, campfires smoke flares, and the use of drones are strictly prohibited. We ask you to please respect the rules of the nature reserves!

Since 2018, as part of the BYOU (Bring Your Own Utensils) scheme, there will be no disposable crockery or utensils at the refreshment points. So, if you would like to eat hot food, you will need to bring your own bowl and cutlery. Why not adopt this best practice for when you go on your next picnic too?

RAISING AWARENESS

ECO-RESPONSABILITY

On the ground and at bib collection, you’ll meet our environmental ambassadors. Their mission is to raise awareness of environmental and local issues while sharing best practices and responsible behaviors to help protect the natural areas crossed by the races.

20

To help you better understand the natural environment in which you’ll be running, we’ve developed dedicated educational signage. In the heart of Chamonix, join family-friendly activities and interactive sessions focused on mountain-related topics, including pastoralism, mountain ecosystems, and waste management (Fan Experience and Champs du Savoy).

CARRY YOUR OWN TRASH Runners and support crews: do not leave anything behind on the trail — not even toilet paper or fruit scraps! Let’s all be responsible and carry a waste pouch with us at all times.

BIOWASTE In Italy, Switzerland and France, runners will be asked to sort their biowaste into dedicated containers at each refreshment point. In France, an association from the valley which travels by bike, will come and collect all the biowaste from the refreshment points in Vallorcine, Argentières, Chamonix, Les Houches, Saint-Gervais and Les Contamines-Montjoie. This waste will then be distributed to composters for natural fertilizer.

WOMEN AT THE HEART OF THE HOKA UTMB MONT-BLANC EXPERIENCE This week is an opportunity to celebrate the women who help make the HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc what it is. Whether as runners, supporters, volunteers, organizers or spectators, women bring their passion, resilience and energy to every

aspect of the event. Through the Women in Trail initiatives, we’re continuing to strengthen the experience for women by creating opportunities to connect, learn from one another and inspire the next generation of trail runners.

THIS YEAR ONCE AGAIN, ENHANCED SERVICES FOR WOMEN ARE AVAILABLE.

HOKA UTMB® MONT BLANC

To improve visibility, participation and the overall race experience:

22

•The Elite Start Zone will be equally shared between the top women and men, with dedicated UTMB LIVE coverage of the Top 10 women and men to ensure equal visibility and recognition. •Because meeting women’s specific needs is essential to creating a more inclusive experience, a Women Kit with essential menstrual hygiene products will be available at every aid station, so that periods are never a barrier to performance or well-being. •A dedicated breastfeeding space can also be arranged for participants who request it in advance. •Women’s toilets and changing areas will be available throughout the course, helping every participant feel comfortable and supported.

•A dedicated WhatsApp community for women registered in the OCC, CCC and UTMB Finals will provide a space to connect, ask questions and build relationships before and during the event. Throughout the week, all our welcome to join a line-up of activities including: •Talks on women in trail running, inclusion, health, race safety and progressing to longer distances. •Inspiring film screenings and UTMB LIVE watch parties. •Shake-out runs and yoga sessions. •Meet-ups and Q&As with athletes, experts and members of the trail running community. •Community gatherings designed to help women connect, share experiences and grow their trail running network.

And men, you are a key part of these initiatives, being an ally, supporting women, being courteous and respectful on and off the trails. Encouraging the women you know to take part in these activities as well. Trail running is a team sport! Scan the QR code to discover the full program and take part in the Women in Trail initiatives.

ENCOURAGE THE PARTICIPATION OF ATHLETES WITH DISABILITIES As part of its ongoing commitment to increasing and encouraging the participation of athletes with disabilities in trail running, UTMB Group has implemented an Adaptive Athlete policy across all UTMB World Series events. This policy officially recognizes runners with disabilities and provides practical measures to support and facilitate their participation in UTMB World Series events. In 2026, 58 athletes and their guides will take the start of one of the HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc races, including 15 members of the Adaptive Team.

The 2026 edition marks another important milestone, with Adaptive Team athletes competing across every race format at HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc, from the ETC to the PTL®. Some return after making their mark in previous editions to take on an even greater challenge, while others join the adventure for the very first time with ambitious goals.

HOKA UTMB® MONT BLANC

Following its success in 2024 and 2025, the Adaptive Team returns with several new members, continuing its mission to raise awareness and highlight the participation of runners with a wide range of visible and invisible disabilities.

TRANSPORTS

FEWER CARS, MORE ADVENTURES!

To encourage everyone involved in the HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc to use public transport, the organization is setting up a dedicated transport service during the event to follow the races and travel around the valley. This transport network is aimed at runners, support crews and the public who wish to follow the racing. A DEDICATED TRANSPORT SERVICE FOR RUNNERS This service enables runners to reach the start lines of the six races held in Italy and Switzerland, significantly reducing the use of personal vehicles. The service operates throughout the Chamonix Valley, from Servoz to Vallorcine, as well as in the Arve Valley, with departures from Cluses, Sallanches, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains (Le Fayet), and Les Contamines-Montjoie. Shuttles serve only the designated stops communicated by the organization. Please refer to the transport plan to identif y your designated pick-up point. New for 2026, runners will also be able to be picked up at Les Contamines-Montjoie and taken to the race start lines.

TRANSPORT UTMB®

A SPECIAL TRANSPORT SYSTEM FOR SUPPORT CREWS AND THE PUBLIC

34

The HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc organization has set up an exceptional race shuttle service in collaboration with three cross-border operators (Transdev, ATS, TMR), open to all race followers, enabling them to follow runners to various points along the route. The UTMB Buses are available for each race and allow supporters to follow their runners from the start to the finish, enjoying the race atmosphere at key refreshment points with complete peace of mind. The organization is also working with the Communauté de communes de la vallée de Chamonix Mont-Blanc to promote the use of the pre-existing public transport network. The HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc is offering

reduced-price access to the network for anyone with a guest card, which can be requested when paying the tourist tax.

A FEW FIGURES, EACH YEAR:

+13 000 PEOPLE ARE TRANSPORTED

150 BUSES ARE DEPLOYED THROUGHOUT THE MONT-BLANC AREA

15 BUS LINES ARE DEPLOYED FOR THE EVENT

OUR THANKS TO THOSE PARTNERS THAT SUPPORT OUR MOBILITY PLAN: the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc community, Transdev and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COURMAYEUR SKI LIFTS To encourage all supporters to use public transport, there will once again be a 20% discount on the Courmayeur Mont-Blanc Funivie lifts to all those registered for one of the HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc races on presentation of an entry confirmation and for all holders of a UTMB® Mobility transport ticket.

CHILDREN Given the possibility of late-night waits and difficult weather conditions, the transport system is not suitable for children under the age of 3. ANIMALS, BICYCLES AND SCOOTERS Animals, bicycles, and scooters are not permitted on the organization’s shuttle buses, with the exception of assistance dogs.

BASE CAMPS In 2022 UTMB Mont-Blanc launched the BASE CAMP concept — areas accessible free of charge with the UTMB Mobility pass for support crew and supporters to wait in the warmth. IN 2026, WE’RE CONTINUING TO SET UP THESE AREAS! Located all along the UTMB, CCC and TDS routes, the BASE CAMPS are accessible day and night on presentation of your UTMB Mobility pass.

Along the way, you’ll meet mobility ambassadors who can give you all the information you need! We’d like to make a bet with you: you no longer need a car to follow the race. BY BUS IT’S EASY, AND YOU CAN GO WHERE CARS CANNOT!

For the other races we strongly advise against travelling by car as there will be long traffic jams, parking difficulties, and small winding roads... If you have no other means of transport, please carpool.

HOKA UTMB® MONT BLANC

The Base Camps are located close to the refreshment points and are clearly signposted. Near some Base Camps, drink stands (paid consumption) will be available.

CARS Following the HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc Finals by car is impossible: roads and parking lots are closed.

SUPPORT CREW We’ve come a long way since 2003! From a single race with 700 contenders, the event now brings together 10,000 runners and 8 individual races, each with its own identity. While the event has gained in reputation, its values remain the same: fair play, friendliness, and respect for people and this glorious natural environment. To ensure every participant in the HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc has a memorable experience, a certain number of rules must be respected on the trail:

SUPPORT ZONE On entering, runners have agreed to respect the rules. Support crews must not jeopardize their runner’s commitment. Reminder: running alongside a participant outside the support zones near the refreshment points is strictly forbidden and exposes the runner to a 15-minute penalty. Be careful not to confuse the support zone (a few hundred meters before and after each refreshment point, and clearly signposted) and the assistance zone (the part of the refreshment point reserved for assistance). In other words, in the support zone you can be accompanied but not assisted!

ASSISTANCE ZONE Personal assistance is tolerated at certain refreshment points, within the Assistance Zone specifically reserved for this purpose, and on presentation of the ‘Assistance’ ticket and at the discretion of the station manager. Assistance can only be provided by one person at a time, with no specific equipment other than a bag with a maximum volume of 30 liters. Assistance provided by a professional team, or any medical or paramedical professional — even if it’s a parent — is strictly forbidden. 1 TICKET per assistance zone 1 TICKET = 1 person*

Please note that some assistance zones may be outdoors, so equip yourself accordingly! Please note that this year, the service area at Trient is no longer authorised. NEW: The runners of UTMB and CCC will find a drop bag at Champex-Lac. *Children under 14 can of course accompany their parent without an additional ticket.

YOU TOO!

SUPPORT CREW

A quick reminder of a few simple rules I commit to following in every town and village along the HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc routes (and beyond!). I lead by example and help make the celebration even more enjoyable:

40

- I dispose of my waste using the bins and recycling stations provided. - I respect private property and the surrounding areas. - I use public transportation whenever possible and park only in official parking areas (unauthorized parking is strictly prohibited in all municipalities and may result in fines issued by local authorities). - From the evening through to the early morning, I keep noise to a minimum out of respect for local residents. - At all times, I follow the instructions given by event staff and law enforcement.

TRAIL, HEALTH, AND PERFORMANCE Trail running is a rewarding but demanding sport that invites you to discover just how remarkable your body is. It is capable of extraordinary things, but understanding how it works is essential to getting the best out of it while protecting your health.

You’ve probably asked yourself questions like:

- CAN I TAKE PAINKILLERS DURING A TRAIL RACE? - HOW CAN I PREPARE MY FEET TO PREVENT BLISTERS? - HOW SHOULD I MANAGE MY SLEEP TO OPTIMIZE MY PERFORMANCE DURING AN ULTRA? - HOW CAN I PROTECT MYSELF FROM EXTREME HEAT? - SHOULD I ADAPT MY TRAINING ACCORDING TO MY MENSTRUAL CYCLE? - AND MANY MORE.

Since 2006, the Les Amis de l’UTMB Mont-Blanc Medical Commission has been developing evidence-based health and sports medicine advice to help you achieve your goals in the safest and best possible conditions. Come and meet the team at the Ultra-Trail Village, at their booth located just outside the bib collection area. TIME
