SUMMARY 2024-2025

INTRODUCTION

This report highlights the career outcomes, or "first destination data," for the Class of 2025 graduates from August 2024, December 2024, and May 2025.

The data was collected by the Center for Career Development & Academic Exploration (CCDAE)

METHODOLOGY

In 2023, we enhanced our data analysis by working directly with raw data from 12Twenty rather than relying on pre-generated reports. This shift allows for a more tailored and indepth analysis.

CCDAE follows data collection protocols established by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and contributes to NACE’s annual reporting

Career outcome data is gathered through emails, phone calls, events, academic departments, university records, and social media (e g , LinkedIn) Information is collected for up to six months postgraduation

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT OUTCOMES

NACE defines the knowledge rate as the percentage of graduates for whom reliable post-graduation information is available

In 2025, the knowledge rate remained strong at 80 1%, well above NACE’s benchmark of 65%

KEY HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE CLASS OF 2025:

Employed (six months postgraduation):62 9%

Continuing education:26 3%

Positive career outcome rate:90 2%

Still seeking employment/education:7 4%

Median salary:$60,060

Mean salary:$61,284

GRADUATE STUDENT OUTCOMES

Some graduate programs follow reporting standards set by their accrediting bodies.

For example, business programs in the Haslam College of Business use Career Service Employer Alliance guidelines Because reporting formats vary, aggregate data for all master’s students (such as overall knowledge rate or career outcomes) is not included Individual colleges can provide further details upon request

DEFINITIONS OF TERMS

Employed:Includes full-time and part-time work, military service, and employment with service organizations such as AmeriCorps

Continuing education: Includes graduate degrees, additional bachelor’s degrees, or certificate programs

Not seeking: Applies to graduates taking time off for personal reasons such as family, travel, research, or artistic pursuits Seeking employment/education: Refers to graduates actively searching for jobs or further education opportunities.

Some graduates may have secured positions but did not report them to the university, which may impact overall statistics.

2024-2025 EMPLOYMENT

Over the course of the year, approximately 1,400 unique organizations engaged with students through job fairs, networking events, panels, employer of the day, and other programs

Additionally, 100,000 jobs from thousands of employers were posted on the Handshake platform for UT students to access Some students find employment opportunities through engagement with university sponsored events and others will find jobs through their own networking and searching Nearly 3,500 distinct organizations hired graduates from the class of 2025
