EREC’S 87TH ANNUAL MEETING Rick Hunsucker, EREC Board President Did you know every electric cooperative is required to hold an annual meeting for its members? This year’s Escambia River Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting is even more special as we celebrate 87 years of service. Our Annual Meeting is more than business. It’s a community event filled with fellowship, fun, and great door prizes. While we’ll share important updates and decisions, it’s also a chance to reconnect with friends and neighbors in a welcoming atmosphere. Can’t attend in person? You can still take part by voting with an absentee ballot and be entered for special prizes just for absentee voters. Whether you join us every year or it’s been a while, we’d love to see you there. EREC is more than your electric provider. We’re your neighbors, committed to serving our community. Mark your calendar for April 25th and join us at Ernest Ward Middle School to celebrate! See below for the different ways to vote and be entered to win exciting door prizes. We look forward to seeing you there!
THE2026 TWO WAYS TO VOTE IN TRUSTEE ELECTIONS
Absentee Ballot April 1 - 24 For members who prefer to vote by absentee ballot, ballots can be requested in two ways: • Call Member Services during regular business hours at 850-675-4521 or 800235-3848 to have a ballot mailed to you. • Visit EREC’s Jay or Walnut Hill office during regular business hours to complete a ballot. If you would like to designate someone to pick up your absentee ballot, call an EREC office and provide their name. You will need the last four digits of your Social Security number, and the designee must present a photo ID to receive the ballot.
In-Person Voting Annual Meeting 8-10 a.m. April 25 Registration and voting begins at 8 a.m. The business meeting starts promptly at 10 a.m. Trustee results are announced at the end of the meeting once tabulating is complete. The financial reports and business meeting minutes from last year’s annual meeting are posted at the annual meeting and on the EREC website.
