About MBA Math & Getting Started Our program requires all incoming students to complete MBA Math prior to their first semester. This is paid for by the MHA program and is in-lieu of taking and paying for a 3-credit graduate level introductory math course. It typically takes 15-25 total hours, so we recommend getting started as early as possible so you can pace yourself. MBA Math cannot be waived for prior math classes during undergraduate. MBA Math is a self-paced, online course designed to strengthen foundational quantitative skills used in graduate business programs, including Excel, finance, accounting, statistics, and economics. Through short lessons, videos, and applied practice, it helps students build confidence with the quantitative concepts they will encounter in their coursework. For incoming MHA students, MBA Math is especially helpful for refreshing or building quantitative skills before the program begins. It provides a practical introduction to business-focused analytics and financial concepts, helping students feel more prepared, confident, and ready to succeed in MHA courses that rely on data-driven decision-making. To get started with MBA Math, please follow these instructions: 1. Visit mbamath.com/GettingStarted.aspx and click the 'Sign Up' button in the top right 2. At the top of the page, under #1, select 'Yes, I have an RSVP/promotion code provided by my school' 3. Use the code: UTAHMY26AV for free access 4. Enter your first and last name, select 'Admitted' under the enrollment status. 5. Under 'Your admitted or enrolled program' type and select 'Eccles (Utah) MHA' Once you've logged in, you will see the MBA Math Portal where you can begin to work through the modules. These three modules need to be completed by the first day of the semester, which is August 24th, 2026. Your progress is tracked in the system, so we can see when you've completed each section. No need to submit anything back to us. If we notice that you haven't logged, started the modules, or made much progress as the semester approaches, we may email you and kindly remind you to start the course.
