Effective communication is vital in health care leadership, where conveying complex information clearly and persuasively can significantly impact patient outcomes and team dynamics. This session is designed to enhance your public speaking skills, enabling you to connect authentically with diverse audiences, including patients, colleagues, and stakeholders. Through practical exercises and personalized feedback, you’ll develop the confidence and techniques necessary to deliver compelling messages that inspire and influence. Participants will:

• Assess strengths and areas of development as a public speaker

• Be more persuasive/confident with different audiences (hostile, diverse, etc.)

• Learn to assess and understand your audience’s needs and perspectives to tailor your message effectively

• Implement storytelling, metaphors, rhetorical questions, and repetition to create a powerful, emotional connection with your audience

• Develop skills to organize your speech with a clear and persuasive introduction, body, and conclusion

• Achieve a mindful, kinesthetic delivery that enhances your presence and engagement during presentations

• Explore techniques to manage and reduce anxiety associated with public speaking, fostering a more confident and relaxed delivery
