2025 UTA EEC Transmission & Substation Design & Operation Symposium Post Report

Page 1

The 58th Annual Transmission & Substation Design & Operation Symposium (TSDOS) convened a wide range of professionals, including utility engineers, suppliers, contractors, and consultants, for a focused exchange on the latest innovations, challenges, and solutions impacting the power delivery sector.

Held from Wednesday, September 3 to Friday, September 5, 2025, the hybrid event took place at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center in Frisco, Texas. Over three days, attendees explored key topics through a curated program of 41 technical presentations, featuring in-depth case studies and real-world insights delivered by industry leaders.

Participants who attended the full symposium were eligible to earn 15 Professional Development Hours (PDHs), including 1 PDH in Professional Ethics, making it a valuable opportunity for professional growth and continuing education.

A major networking highlight of the event was the Wednesday evening Vendor Hospitality Event, where 122 vendors exhibited their products and services throughout the hotel’s suites, atrium, and parking areas, fostering connections and conversations across disciplines.

As TSDOS continues its legacy of advancing knowledge and collaboration across the transmission and substation community, plans are already underway for next year’s event. The 59th Annual TSDOS will return to its roots in Arlington, Texas, and will be held at the Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center, a new location reflecting the symposium’s ongoing evolution and enduring commitment to the industry.

For event details and ongoing updates, visit the official 2025 TSDOS event page.
