BARC NEARS THE FINISH LINE AHEAD OF SPRING 2026 OPENING
Construction continues at the Bullhead City Animal Resource Center (BARC) as the City prepares for its spring 2026 opening. The former Mohave Valley Daily News building is being transformed into a modern, nokill animal shelter with new kennels, veterinary spaces, and on-site retail for adopters. Once complete, BARC will expand animal capacity and services for the Bullhead City community
CITY CENTRE PROGRESS UPDATE
Grading continues at the City Centre site along Marina Boulevard, with building pads now clearly defined and early underground infrastructure underway Upcoming roadway improvements along State Route 95 will add new right-hand turn lanes to support future access and traffic flow. The Fire Marshal has officially signed off on the building, and the swimming pool is now fully approved by both the Health and Building Departments — meaning all inspections and safety requirements have been successfully completed.
Wind breaks have been installed around the tennis and pickleball courts, creating a more comfortable playing experience, and epoxy flooring begins this coming week a clear sign we’re moving into the final finishing stages. Excitement is building as everything comes together.
