Study in style with USL’s new BCJC library, sunken bays

he University of Saint Louis opened the newly built Bishop Constant Jurgens Campus Library in a blessing ceremony held on April 27, 2023. With an extensive collection of books, spacious study spaces, a cozy sunken bay, and great amenities, the new library provides an enjoyable and supportive study experience and academic pursuits to the students, faculty, and staff. The ceremony was graced by Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President, together with Mrs. Michelle A. Abella, University Libraries Director; Members of the Extended Advisory Board; LCPJ Construction led by Engr. Lucas Pauig, Jr.; and SABH and SEAS program chairs and faculty. huge show of enthusiasm and energy filled the main campus on February 15-18, 2023, as students, faculty, staff, parents, and other stakeholders came together to celebrate the 58th Founding Anniversary of the University of Saint Louis. The Louisian community gathered at the Good Shepherd Chapel on February 15 for a Eucharistic mass, commencing the foundation week celebration of the institution. In his homily, University President Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang,

CICM, Ph.D., took a moment to express his gratitude and remind everyone of all the wonderful blessings God has bestowed upon USL. “Our gathering today is truly a manifestation that God did not leave us alone. Our thanksgiving for the 58th Founding Anniversary is grounded in our faith in the Lord. We express our gratitude and thanksgiving today because we recognize the gifts we received from the Lord,” Fr. USL mobilizes internationalization initiatives

he University of Saint Louis (USL) has been working closely with Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU) in Thailand to exchange knowledge and ideas through various collaboration initiatives. On a visit to Thailand on April 24-25, 2023, USL representatives solidified the university’s partnership with HCU after signing a Memorandum of Understanding and a Memorandum of Agreement in the area of Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science. As part of this collaboration, USL students will have the opportunity to take part in short-term international internship training at HCU

and engage in benchmarking and cultural immersion experiences. Ms. Ellen Joy C. Manansala, faculty of the School of Health and Allied Sciences, engaged in training and benchmarking activities on Physical Manufacturing held at the partner university from March 6 to April 4, 2023. In her training experience, Ms. Manansala shared how it became an invaluable experience for her as an instructor. “I was able to observe more experienced instructors’ lectures and facilitate laboratories.
