This year we gather in Birmingham, Alabama—the Magic City—a place forged in iron and refined in courage, where history was not merely witnessed but made. From the sanctuary of Sixteenth Street Baptist Church to the reflective grounds of Kelly Ingram Park and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, this city stands as hallowed ground in the long march toward justice. Here, ordinary men and women did extraordinary things; here, faith met fire and prevailed. It is fitting that our Rite—built upon light, liberty, and the dignity of every soul—should convene where those ideals were so dearly purchased. This year’s Session promises a rich array of events for all. For the Order of the Golden Circle, our Loyal Ladies can look forward to impactful workshops, engaging leadership conversations, and memorable fellowship. For our Fraters, we proudly continue “PSA for PHA,” our vital prostate-cancer awareness and screening initiative, encouraging every member to prioritize annual checkups and bloodwork. The APEX Program continues its ascent, elevating leadership and sharpening the skills that will strengthen our Rite for generations to come. And our Scottish Rite Lecture Series will again inspire and enlighten, deepening our understanding of the Rite’s history, philosophy, and future direction. As we embark upon this 140th Annual Session, I extend my sincere thanks for your steadfast commitment and enthusiasm. Together, in the spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood, we will honor our legacy, embrace our responsibilities, and continue to build the enduring structure of our beloved Rite. Welcome to Birmingham. All Grand Inspectors General (Honorary 33°) who have not attended the last two sessions are required to attend and/or pay the Individual Registration (Advance) Fee of $200.00. All Deputies must be present by Friday, October 9, 2026, for the 9:00 a.m. workshop. Sovereign Grand Inspectors General are to be present Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. CLASS MEETINGS
