UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
Our undergraduate programs offer two distinct paths to creative professional careers, both emphasizing project-based, cutting-edge learning, guided by leading professionals, scholars, and researchers. The accredited five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree prepares students for architectural licensure and has produced award-winning architects for decades. The newest four-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture + Innovative Technologies (BSAIT) degree is designed for students exploring broader design careers in emerging technologies.
Bachelor of Architecture
5 YEARS / 160 UNITS
The five-year program combines rigorous architectural training with a broad university education that prepares graduates for professional licensure and careers in architecture. Years 1–3 builds a strong foundation through immersive design studios, building technology, and architectural history and theory. Years 4–5 focus on specialization studies through advanced studios, electives, and global study options. The final year culminates with a comprehensive design project on an original research topic that is presented in a public exhibition.

DESIGN INVENTIVE SOLUTIONS
The Bachelor of Science in Architecture + Inventive Technologies (BSAIT) is at the intersection of architecture, technology, and entrepreneurship. The program is designed for students who want to innovate at both human and architectural scales. Using design not only as a creative act, but as a way to address global challenges such as climate change, social justice, and public well-being.

The USC School of Architecture offers an interdisciplinary design education that blends creative exploration with independent thinking and critical inquiry for real-world problem solving. It is the only private architecture school at a toptier research university in the West with a 100-year legacy of innovation, distinguished scholarship, and design excellence. Students work closely with a diverse faculty of scholars and practitioners, engaging in design research across local and global contexts in a studio culture that values innovation over any one style or approach.
