A Message from
USA Girl Scouts Overseas Welcome to another year with USA Girl Scouts Overseas - we are so glad you are here! Whether you're a Girl Scout Daisy just beginning your Girl Scout journey or a Girl Scout Ambassador looking for your next big challenge, there's something waiting for you. Explore hands-on STEM experiences, leadership adventures, outdoor fun, global connections and so much more. Our upcoming programs span the globe - from Taiwan and London to Spain and Tokyo- and some can even be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home. No matter where your family is located, you can connect with Girl Scouts from around the world and make memories that will last a lifetime. This year, we are especially excited to share program updates shaped by what we heard directly from our USAGSO community. In February, we conducted a member feedback survey to better understand what is working well and where we can do more to support girls, families and volunteers. We heard you. Members asked for clearer information about program opportunities, better visibility into financial assistance, calendars that are easier to plan around and continued investment in the volunteers who make Girl Scouting overseas possible. In response, we are expanding our most popular programs, aligning our program calendar more closely with school calendars (as much as possible), making financial assistance easier to access and expanding training and networking opportunities for our adult volunteers. Adult Volunteer Virtual Trainings Child Protection Training This required course teaches volunteers how to recognize, prevent and respond appropriately to child abuse or unsafe situations to ensure the safety and well-being of all girls. Returning Leader Training Returning Leader Training is an annual refresh that highlights key updates, policy changes and new resources so experienced leaders can stay compliant, aligned and ready for the upcoming troop year! September 18, 2026 | October 16, 2026 New Leader Onboarding This course introduces new leaders to program basics, safety practices and resources so they can confidently organize meetings, support girls’ development and run a successful troop. This is in lieu of the gsLearn course. September 19, 2026 | October 17, 2026 Stronger Together: Tools for Navigating Conflict in Girl Scouts and Beyond Learn practical techniques for handling challenging conversations and resolving conflict effectively. Through interactive activities and discussion, you'll gain insight into different communication styles. Apply these skills to strengthen your Girl Scout community, support healthy troop and volunteer dynamics and create environments where everyone feels respected and included. Cookie Program Training Opportunities This year, we will offer a dynamic collection of programs for volunteers focused on connection, collaboration and community-building. As part of the program lineup, we’ll offer a dedicated cookie breakout session during upcoming volunteer retreats where volunteers can connect, share ideas and explore strategies for a successful cookie program. Join us in person for engaging networking experiences that encourage collaboration, inspire new ideas and build connections across cookie-selling communities. August-September 2026 USAGSO Volunteer Retreat- Heidelberg, Germany August 8, 2026 Connect, collaborate and recharge with fellow Girl Scouts Overseas volunteers at this inspiring in-person adult retreat in Heidelberg, Germany! Enjoy engaging training, networking, great meals and fun as you prepare for an amazing Girl Scout year alongside volunteers from around the world. Camp Bavaria: Regional Camporee, Ansbach, Germany September 11-13, 2026 Join USAGSO and Bavaria Girl Scouts for an unforgettable camping weekend as we kick off the new Girl Scout year together! Gather around the campfire, make new friends and experience the excitement of outdoor adventure. This year’s theme, Ignite Curiosity, encourages Girl Scouts to discover new interests, take on exciting challenges and explore the world around them through hands-on activities and classic camp fun. Adults can join in the fun alongside their Girl Scouts or take advantage of special training opportunities, including New Leader Bootcamp, CPR/First Aid Certification, Archery Level I Certification, Outdoor Trainings and a Cookie Program Planning Session.
September 2026 USAGSO Volunteer Retreat- Belgium September 26-27, 2026 Drop your Girl Scout at the STEMinist event in Belgium (see below!) and join our staff-led New Troop Leader and OCMT training to get updates, tips, tricks and practical information to help with your Girl Scout year. Learn quick wins – like how to plan the year, how to incorporate STEM into your meetings and how to make that Girl Scout magic happen while connecting and growing your network! Note: This retreat is open to all troop leaders and OCMT members, but may be more useful to those who are new to the role or only have a year or two of experience. USAGSO STEMinist: Orion Mission Overnight at the Euro Space Center September 26-27, 2026 Libin, Belgium Prepare to launch! Space mission boarding is now ready! The Euro Space Center is expecting the Girl Scout crew on the launch pad for an out-of-this-world overnight! Girl Scouts will earn parts of the Space Science badge and a fun patch. Together with other Girl Scouts from around the world, enjoy two days of unlimited access to the indoor and outdoor park and earn your first astronaut stripes!
October 2026 Atsugi Naval Air Base: Regional Camporee, Atsugi, Japan October 3, 2026 Join us for our Regional Camporee in Atsugi to celebrate the start of our Girl Scout year! Together, we'll participate in a day of fun activities like arts and crafts, field games and more. Girl Scouts of all levels are welcome to attend! USAGSO STEMinist: In-Person Energy Adventures October 4, 2026 Stuttgart, Germany Ready, set, POWER UP! USA Girl Scouts Overseas is excited to pilot our brand-new STEMinist Energy program in Stuttgart, Germany this fall. Join STEMinist host Erin Twamley in this three-hour, in-person STEMinist event and discover how energy powers our everyday lives - from campfires that roast our s’mores to the phones we charge and the lights that brighten the night. Through interactive activities and creative challenges, participants will explore different forms of energy and the science behind them. Torii Beach: Regional Camporee, Okinawa, Japan October 10, 2026 Join us for our Regional Camporee in Okinawa to celebrate the start of our Girl Scout year! Together, we'll participate in a day of fun activities like arts and crafts, field games and more. Both adults and Girl Scouts of all levels are welcome to attend!
October 2026 Globetrotters: Sevilla, Spain October 9-12, 2026 Join the USAGSO Globetrotters on our next adventure to Sevilla, Spain! You'll make new friends with other Girl Scouts as you plan your adventure. Will you marvel at the architecture of the Alcazar, watch the sunset from the top of the Setas de Sevilla, or take in the sounds of a flamenco show? This experience is all chosen by you! USAGSO Virtual Movie Screening: Straight/Curve: Redefining Body Image October 16-26, 2026 Gather your friends, family, Girl Scout troop or entire Overseas Committee for this exclusive, free virtual watch party! For 10 days, USA Girl Scouts Overseas will have access to an exclusive, virtual screening room to view the documentary Straight/Curve: Redefining Body Image. We encourage you to use our Activity & Discussion Guide to highlight the themes from the documentary with your Girl Scouts. Want to host a watch party for your community? Fill out this form for up to $50 in reimbursement to help cover costs such as snacks, supplies, facility rental fees or other event expenses.

Volunteers will gain practical guidance, leadership tools and resources to support girls in setting goals, leading meaningful projects and growing through the Highest Awards journey. Participants will also connect with fellow leaders and strengthen their ability to mentor and inspire girls at every level - while having some fun in London! November 2026 USAGSO STEMinist: LEGO Day November 7, 2026 Mons, Belgium Get ready to build, create and innovate! In partnership with the SHAPE International Library, Girl Scouts and other Scouting friends will come together for a hands-on day of LEGO engineering adventures. This isn’t just about snapping bricks together- it’s about thinking like an engineer! This event will take place at SHAPE International Library. Halloween Camp with Girl Scouts of Japan November 14-15, 2026 Kanagawa, Japan Join us for another year of spooky fun at Halloween Camp! This is a weekend filled with making new friends and sharing the fun of Halloween. Think candy, costumes and silly games with your new BFFs from other USAGSO Girl Scout communities across the Kanto Plains and Girl Scouts of Japan Kanagawa. Taste the World: Savor Paris November 14-15, 2026 Head to Paris for a weekend of culinary adventures in the City of Lights! Participants can choose the experiences that interest them most. Activities are designed to give Girl Scouts and families a chance to experience Paris through local flavors and meaningful experiences.
December 2026 USAGSO Nailed It! Holiday Challenge December 1-31, 2026 Calling all aspiring bakers, home chefs and sweet tooths! USA Girl Scouts Overseas is excited to celebrate winter holidays around the world with a special Nailed It! Holiday Challenge during the month of December. USAGSO STEMinist: In-Person Energy Adventures December 6, 2026 Osan, South Korea Ready, set, POWER UP! January 2027 Pura Vida Adventure Challenge: Costa Rica January 15-19, 2027 Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Sarapiquí on this unforgettable four-night jungle adventure in Costa Rica. Designed for Girl Scouts ages 13 and up, this once-in-a-lifetime experience combines thrilling outdoor activities with meaningful cultural connections and cherished Girl Scout traditions. From soaring through the rainforest on a zipline to paddleboarding along scenic waterways, campers will discover the excitement, wonderand natural beauty of Costa Rica while building confidence, friendships and lifelong memories.

Any registered girl member of USAGSO can submit a patch design for a chance to have her design featured on the 2027 Early Bird Patch! The USAGSO Honor Awards celebrate Juliettes (Individually Registered Girls), troops and Overseas Communities that go above and beyond to create meaningful, engaging and impactful Girl Scout experiences. Designed to recognize excellence, the program highlights the very best of Girl Scouting overseas. Whether you're a Juliette, part of a troop or involved in your local Overseas Community, this program provides a fun and rewarding framework for making the most of your Girl Scout year. Participants work toward a series of goals throughout the membership year, encouraging involvement in Girl Scout Be sure to watch for the updated traditions, leadership development, Honor Program Booklet, including outdoor experiences, community service the 2026–2027 Honor Program and more. Individually Registered Girl Scouts (IRGs) Your Girl Scout adventure, your way! Girl Scouts is all about discovering new passions, building confidence, making a difference and having fun - and you don't have to be in a troop to experience it! As an Individually Registered Girl (IRG), you create a Girl Scout journey that's as unique as you are. Whether you're earning badges from home, exploring your community, volunteering or joining USAGSO events, the possibilities are endless. Is being a IRG right for you? Being an IRG might be a great fit if you: Live where there isn't an active troop. Move often as part of a military family. Have a busy schedule that doesn't allow for regular troop meetings. Enjoy working independently and setting your own goals. Are waiting to join or start a troop.

Camp USAGSO & Regional Camporees
Camp USAGSO: Save the Date for 2027 Whether your Girl Scout is a Daisy, Ambassador or anything in between, we have something for her! The following Camp USAGSO programs will be offered in Europe, Asia and Central America this year. Stay updated on camp announcements by following our Facebook page and keeping an eye out for the USAGSO’s Spring/Summer Program and Training Guide that will be released in January.
Traditional Camps Traditional camps are week-long, overnight programs which serve Girl Scout Brownies through Ambassadors. Campers partake in daily, ageappropriate activities like teambuilding, arts and crafts, hiking, high ropes courses, field games and beyond! This week away provides a tech-free backdrop for youth to increase their self-confidence, gain independence and learn how to be part of a community while enjoying the beauty and uniqueness of their outdoor setting.
Little Explorers Looking for an introductory camping experience for your youngest camper? Little Explorer camps offer shortened, overnight camp experiences for Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies, lasting two nights and three days. Activities are designed with younger camper’s abilities in mind and consist of teambuilding, games, arts and crafts, talent shows and more!
Adventure Challenge: Exploration Edition Our Adventure Challenge sessions give Girl Scouts in grades 7 and up incredible experiences in the natural world! Designed to safely challenge their sense of wonder and confidence in the outdoors, campers engage in adventure sports specific to the region they’re in. Over the course of 4-5 days, campers participate in activities ranging from hiking, skiing, surfing, rafting and beyond. These camps are an immersive cultural experience for girls as they explore new regions and discover all the country has to offer.

USAGSO Regional Camporees Have you ever attended a day camp or kickoff campout with USAGSO? Then, you’ll be excited to know that we are expanding these offerings in 2026-27! Now known as Regional Camporees, these camp events are the perfect opportunity to provide programming and training for both girls and adults throughout the year. Cooke season offers opportunities for Girl Scouts to grow, lead and try something new - with your support guiding the way. This year’s theme, Ready to Explore, encourages girls to step outside their comfort zones, set meaningful goals and discover what they can achieve. The cookie program goes beyond cookies. It helps Girl Scouts build confidence and learn essential life skills like goal setting, decision making and money management. Volunteers and families play an important role in supporting girls as they take ownership of their experience and celebrate every milestone along the way. Families can join the journey by working with their Girl Scout to earn the Cookie Entrepreneur Family Pin while exploring the five key skills together.
