Art Therapy
Harness the healing power of art to prepare for an art therapy career. Art therapy is a mental health profession that uses art to promote wellness and facilitate change. We offer multiple career pathways and cutting-edge instruction, leading to pre-professional employment and graduate bridge programs for accelerated professional advancement in the licensed fields of Art Therapy, Counseling, Special Education, and K-12 Art Education. Bridge Programs to Advance Career Opportunities Our bridge programs allow undergraduate Art Therapy students to begin taking graduate-level courses while completing their bachelor’s degree. You will not only be able to complete your master’s program faster, you’ll also receive a lower tuition rate on graduate courses taken as an undergraduate student! Education 4+1 Bridge Prepare for a teaching career in Special Education or Art Education with an understanding of the unique social, emotional, and creative needs of youth. While pursuing your Art Therapy degree, you can take up to 15 credits of graduate education courses. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, students enter our one-year Master Apprenticeship Program to earn a Master of Arts in Education and qualify for teaching licensure in Ohio. Counseling & Art Therapy (CAT) Bridge Students may bridge from the Bachelor of Arts in Art Therapy program into the Master of Arts in Counseling & Art Therapy program by completing all the requirements for the undergraduate major plus up to 28 CAT graduate credits. Some students may elect a 3+3 bridge, spending three years in the undergraduate program followed by three years in the graduate program. Medical Laboratory Science 3+1 Program Prepare to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment through laboratory testing and analysis. Medical laboratory scientists play a vital role in clinical healthcare. With our 3+1 partnership with the Cleveland Clinic School of Medical Laboratory Science, students will spend their first three years taking courses at Ursuline College, then begin a year-long tenure training and taking classes at the Cleveland Clinic beginning the summer between your junior and senior year. Ursuline students who complete prerequisite courses for Cleveland Clinic’s program are given priority consideration in the application process. This affiliation greatly benefits students in the demanding field of medical technology by combining the fundamental knowledge gained at Ursuline College and the technical skills learned at Cleveland Clinic.

Nutrition & Dietetics
Learn about the science of food and its role in preventing and treating disease, and maintaining health. Nutrition touches all aspects of a person’s health and wellbeing. Ursuline’s nutrition and dietetics program is your first step to becoming a registered dietitian. To become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), you must have a master’s degree, complete an accredited dietetics internship, and pass the national registration examination. Our bachelor’s degree program gives you a solid foundation to do that successfully.

Nutrition and Dietetics is a unique nutrition science and dietetics education program that will prepare students with the required core knowledge elements to become a dietician. The rigor of the program includes knowledge for supervised practice, and professional and managerial preparedness. This hybrid program blends both personalized and flexible instruction. The first half of the program consists of in-person classes, students gain important hands-on lab and research skills and develop interpersonal relationships. The latter half is conveniently online, allowing students the geographic flexibility to work, gain experience, and study at their own pace, all while receiving guidance from faculty and mentors as you earn your bachelor’s degree.
