Richmond held its first "University Week" during the latter part of October. The general plan of the affair was to bring to the University acknowledged authorities ' who would speak to visiting alumni and students on many interesting and im' portant topics. Such an undertaking was made possible through the James Thomas, Jr., foundation fund, wh 'ch was provided for by "The Thomas Museum Lecture Endowment" of $u,ooo donated by his family in memory of the late president of the corporation, James Thomas, Jr. Opening with a lecture by Dr. Douglas Freeman, editor of the Richmond News Leader, on vVednesday morning, October 26, "University ~ree k" was brought to a close with the presentation of "Kempy" by the University Players on Friday evening, October 28. Dur:ng this period classes were partially suspended and all spare time was devoted to the program in order to make the event an outstanding success. A number of lectures were of direct interest to the stude nts of music, law, and English, and in general a 11 were of interest to the entire' audience, such an assemblage of famous lecturers within the per'.od of three days being unusual. Among the other speakers were Miss Margaret Deneke, choirmaster of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University; Dr. Stephen Leacock, of McGi ll University, Canada; Dr. H. Lee McBain, of Columb'.a, and Dr. H . D. Maclachlan, pastor of the Seventh Street Christian Church of Richmond. Dr. Douglas Freeman spoke on "The Rewards of Research." Dr. Freeman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond, and Doctor of Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University in 1908. In 19r9, 1920 and 1923 h e received honorary LLD. deg rees from Washington and Lee, William and Mary, and the University of Richmond, respectively. He is nationally known as th e editor of the Richmond News Leader, and h'.s books and maga zine articles have dealt chiefly with the public finance and Confederate history. Dr. Freeman spoke of four "rewards of research," namely, the opportunity of pioneering in many fields besides the geographica l, keeping the inner light burning wh'.le the outer and physical light fades, the securing of accurate facts and details, and the r eward of being placed in the class of profound thinkers. Miss Margaret Deneke, of Oxford, gave a lecture on "Chopin's Life and ~lorks." Miss Deneke is a brilliant musician and has had wide experience as a teacher and lecturer. Last year she gave lectures and recitals in a number of American colleges, including Vassar, Wel lesley, Bryn Mawr and Harvard Un iversity, and as she was on a return tour to these and other universities, the University of Richmond was indeed fortunate to have her lecture during "University '
1
~reek."
Perhaps the most outstand ing speaker during the three days was Dr. Stephen Leacock, of M cGi ll U niversity, who made his second appearance on the U niversity of Richmond campus since 1923. Under the auspices of the Cecil Rhodes Trust, Dr. Leacock made a tour of the British Empire and gave several lectures on " Imperial Organization." At present he is h ea d of the Department of Political Science at the Montrea l institution. He is a graduate of Toronto U niversity and h as also attended th e graduate school of the U niversity of Chicago. Dr. Leacock is internationally known as lecturer and author both in the fields of political sc'.ence and pure literature. With thi s point in mind, we can readily understa nd his choice of subjects during "University Week." His first lecture was on "Charles D:ckens and Victorian :England." The subj ect of his lecture the following evening was "Mark Twain an d American Democracy," and his final address was on "0. Henry and Humanity." We h ave not ma de mention that Dr. Leacock is one of the most noted humorists of the day. "Who's Who" furnishes us with the further information that Dr. Leacock's chief hobb ies besides writing are fishing, carpentering and gardening. It is the hop e of the entire stud ent body that th e Administration will see fit to continue "University Week" in the future."

Coach Dobson Coach Frank M. Dobson has served since r913 as director of all athletics at the U ni ve rsity of Richmond. The only interruption durin g this period was at the time of the World War, when he became physical instructor at Camp Lee. "Coach" has been actively engaged in athletics .since his entrance in Central High School in Philadelphia. After a career at Princeton, the Spider mentor became professional and played baseball in the Carolina Association , Central League, American Association , Na ti on al League, and Virginia League. He h as served as assistant coach at Rose Polytechnic Institute and Georgia Tech, and as head coach at the U ni versity of Georgia and Clemson College. Coach Dobson has attained a high degree of success with the teams he has developed at this institution, and much credit goes to him for the numerous baseball and basketball championships. His track teams have been among the best the State has to offer, and the skill and strategy of the Spider coach is responsible for man y a cup safely lodged in the trophy room of the gymnasium. The determined and successful resistance which the R ed and Blue made against William and Mary on Thanksgiving Day is but an example of his coaching. Coach Dobson's widespread reputation and popularity leave no doubt as to w hy he was selected to go to E urope w ith the Olympic squad. This year he was chosen to pick the Southern track talent for the international meet. Coach Dobson has raised athletics at the U nive rsity of Richmond to the present high standard, and our teams are now competi ng on an equal footing with the best in the State. With his recognized ability to develop teams, this standard of athletics is bou nd to be raised even higher in the futu re.

U nd e rtak ing the h eav iest t rack sched ul e that th e co ll ege ha s eve r attempted, the Un iversity of Richmond tracksters emerged with flying co lors in two of the five meets entered. T he local cinder men were defeated by the Nava l Academy, Virginia Military Institute, and William and Mary squads. T h e tea ms representing Washington and Lee, a nd J ohns-Hopkins were va nquished by the wea rers of the R ed and Blue. In the South Atlantic inv itation meet, an a nnual eve nt which is fast becoming more a nd more popula r throughout Vi rginia a nd neighboring states, th e Spiders finished second in a fie ld of ni ne. T he presence of participants from three additiona l colleges and universities wa s noted over the squad s competing the previous year. The g r eatest handicap Richmond had to ove rcome was the lac k of men to take part in the weight eve nts. The track events were ab ly looked after by some of the fastest men the college ever turnd out. Scheduled to meet Hampden- Sidney in the first meet of the season, the locals were rained out, This was a great disappointment to followers of both schoo ls, a close rivalry having grown up th rough th e many yea rs that these two institutions have been opponents. In their second meet of t he yea r, the Spiders journeyed to Annapolis to engage the powerful Naval Aca demy squad. A lthoug h defeated, 61 to +7, Richmond m ade a great showing, w hich elicited much favorab le comment. The su periority of the Middies in the field eve nts decided the meet, the loca ls having an edge on th e track events. Th is setback did not dishearten the team, and they came back strong in their third engage81
ment to trounce Johns-Hopkins, 72 to 56. The defeat administered to Johns-Hopkins was sweet revenge, in as much as the Blue Jays had smothered Richmond in a dual meet the previous year. The work of Captain Tharpe was instrumental in capturing this meet. The Cadets of the Virginia Military Institute furnished the next opponents of the Red and Blue. After a heartrending struggle, Richmond was nosed out by a score of 64 2-3 to 59 1-3. Jn their next meet the charges of Coach Dobson completely upset the elope and furnished one of the biggest surprises of the season by downing the strong Washington a nd Lee track squ ad, 68 to 58. The Generals were overwhelmed, and at no time in the contest did they seriously threaten to overcome the lead of the locals. Meeting its oldest rivals in the last meet before the annual South Atlantic affair, Richmond was defeated, 66 to 60, by the powerful William and Mary outfit. The result was in doubt until the last event had taken place. The superiority of the Indians in the weight events proved enough to overbalance Richmond 's superiority on the cinder path. Davis, of William and Mary, was the leading figure among the participants in the weight events, but Captain Tharpe w as easi ly the outstanding man on the cinders. College records for th e javelin, discu s, half-mi le, and 120-ya rd low hurdl es were shattered in the South Atlantic meet. Despite a torrential downpour, good time was made on th e track. Tharpe supplied the greatest thrill of the meet in winning the quarter-mile. Coming from behind on th e first turn, Tharpe literall y ploughed through a sea of mud to lead the field at th e finish. Cummings, of Virginia, failed to shatter the roo-yard dash, but displayed the best speed evidenced on the local track this year. Anderson, a dark horse, thril led Spider enthusiasts by being barely nosed out of first place in the jav elin throw. Both fir st and second place bettered the previous mark. "Bill" Hundley wa s elected captain of the 1928 team, but did not return to college, a nd it is proba ble that "Ham" Hamilton will succeed Hundl ey as track ca ptain. Prospects for next year's team are extremely bright. Hamilton, Sibold, Carlton, Shelton, Mil ler, Honesty, G unter, and others will return. Trimmer, Tharpe, Hood, M cDaniel, Hash, Martin, Taylor, a nd Fleming will be lost through graduation.

Baseball. 1927 With a schedule embracing some of the best teams in the East, the 1927 University of Richmond baseball team won ten of the nineteen baseball games sch ed uled, dropping th e remaind er to their opponents. The Spider outfit swept through th eir State coll ege foes and captured the State college champio nship for the fifth consecutive year. Of the nine State college games played, Richmond won seven a nd lost two. Following close on their return from spring vacation, the Dobson outfit journeyed north seeking victories. Meeting Mary land in the opening game of the season, th e loca ls sought to attain revenge for the defeat su ffered last year, but after a hard-fought battle, interspersed with frequen~ and heavy hitting, the Northerners emerged on the big end of a 12-9 score. In the second game of the season, th e Naval Academy nine was m et and trounced, 15-8. The Middies never seriously threatened. Practica ll y the whole pitching staff of the Richmond combi ne was used, Winston Brown, a freshman, showing up to advantage. Returning from the Maryland invasion, the Spiders went down in d efeat before a powerful an d hard-hitting Ya le team to a II-2 verdict. The Red and Blue enjoyed a big day with the wi llow against Lynch burg, winning 7-r. This marked the fi rst victory over a State college team in as many starts. Randolph-Macon was the next v ictim of Coach Dobson' s machine, being defeated, 8-3. W ith th e balance of games won favoring us, the Princeton and Pennsylvania teams journeyed through town on consecutive days a nd defeated the Spiders. Against the former the score stood 6-1 l, while against P en nsylvania the count was 5-12. Inability to hit at opportune moments, coup led with poor base running, cost the Red and Blue both games. Behind the sp lendid pitching of Brown, Bridgewater was nosed out, 3-2. Only four hits were garnered off the freshman ace while his mates we re coll ecting six from the offerings of th e opposing hurler. True to the advance dope, V. M. I. took the next contest with a 7-3 sco re. The Spider nine sprang a great surp rise by smothering the Generals under an 8-r deluge. The Washi ngton and Lee team was power less before the exce ll ent twirEng of McCary. In a return game with V. M. I., E lliott, after presenting a fine exhibition of mound strategy, saw the game lost to him after going ten innings. The fi nal score was 3-2, after the locals had mad e a ninth inning ra lly to tie the count. The Medical Col lege nine proved no match for Richmond, and was brushed asid e, 12-3. It was the William and Mary ga me which furnished the greatest treat of th e season to local fa ns. McCary barely missed entering baseball's Ha ll of Fame, a lone hit depriving him of this glory. Ryan's drive in the third frame paved the way for the only tally of the Indi a ns. Only one pass was issued by the local ace. When the fina l man h ad fanne d in the ninth inning, the v isitors were laggi ng at t he bottom end of a 4-1 score. Then foll owed a series of defeats. Held scoreless by Virginia, w ho romped away w ith a 7-0 verd ict, Coach Dobson's charges, in a slow game, featured only by the bri lliant p laying of the Medicos, were again set back, 8-7. To fini sh the defeats, the Indians in a nip-and-tuck battle emerged victor, 6-4. Hampden-Sidney was snowed under in two successive games, t he first, 10- 2, and the latter, 10-4. In the first game Brown held the invaders in check, aided by airtight support from his teammates. The final game of the season went to Richmond, 6-2. Randolph-Macon w as the unfortunate victim. Seven Spiders hit above t he .300 mark, namely, Creath, Bell , Lacy, Robi ns, B. Lacy, E lliot, and T . Sanford . Creath, hittin g 434, led the boys with the will ow. Oscar Fa ry, consistent hitter and dependab le catcher, was elected to captain the 1928 nine. Captain Minter, R. N . Sanford, J. Williams, and E. W. Bell will be lost through graduation.

FOOTBALL, 1927 W ith only six letter men return ed to school around w hich to build h is tea m, Coach Dobson placed one of the lig htest but scrappiest team s eve r to w ea r the R ed a nd Blue on th e g ridiron. Of the eig ht gam es on the card, the Spide rs won three, tied one, and lost four. Th e four games lost, howeve r, were against team s fa r above th e local s' class, a nd these defeats do not cast any doubt on th e fighting s pirit of Coach D obso n's ch a rges. Backfi eld material was pl enti fu l but li g ht. T h e line, on th e oth er h and, presented a di ffic ult p roblem to be solved. T he va rsity eleven w hich p layed throug h th e sea son h ad a backfield ave raging r 52 pound s a nd a fo rwa rd wa ll averagin g 165 pou nd s, one of t he lig htest teams in years. Op ening th e season with V. M . I. a s opponents, the ga me proved a repetition of last yea r's affair. v\lith th e mercury hovering around summ er heat, and g rea tl y lacking i n rese rve streng th, the local s stro ve in vain to hold in check th eir heavier fo e. After fo ur q ua rters of pl ay, d uring w hich time th e local team was pushed ba ck inch by inch, t he Ca dets emer ged v ictor by a 22-0 score. Such w as the outcome of th e fi rst game of t he season. M eeting J ohn s-Hop kins, the R ed and Blue ra n up against a team which, la ter in th e season, held Columbi a to a 7-7 tie. When the final cloud s of ba ttle ha d fad ed , the Spiders were holding th e big end of a 6-2 score. Th e Blue Jays h ad a scrappy team on th e fi eld , but th ey we re u nabl e to penertate deep into Richmo nd' s te rritory. T he Cornell game cou ld be summed up i n one word- weig ht. T ry as they might, the Spiders w e re un abl e to stop the Ithaca eleve n. Lo ng d ash es around e nd and line p lunges, intermixed with a n accura te aerial attack,
gave the Northerners a 53 -0 verdict over the locals. Despite this score, th e pluck and fighting spirit of th e team evoked much comment and praise in th e Ithaca papers. Duke U niversity h ad no troubl e in trouncing th e Spiders, 7 2-0. With seve ral regulars missing from the line, the secondary d efe nse was forced to back the forward wall, and long overhead heaves were thrown with no one in position to block them. The Yell ow Jackets brought to Richmond one of the best teams to wear the Yellow an d Black in many yea rs. Onl y three fo rward passes were thrown by the Spid ers, two of which we re successful, one accounting for a touchdown. Off-tackle gains were instrumental in th e 12- 0 v ictory. A recovered fumbl e and forwa rd pass gave R oanoke a 7-6 win over the Red and Blue warriors. Thrice the Spiders threatened the Maroon goa l and each time the visitors were saved by costly fumb les on the part of the loca ls. Although making exactly twice the number of their opponents first clowns, Richmond was never able to overcome the one-poi nt lead. Lynchburg was defeated the foll owing week, r9-6. Despite the score, neither team was impressive. Hampden-Sidney w as nosed out by one point, the final score being 7- 6. The game was f eatured by the fi erce tackling of both teams. Andrews, freshman fu llb ack, twice saved the game for the Spiders by bea utiful tackl es. Little did the eight thou sand spectators gathered to witness th e Spider- Indian game on Thanksgiving Day realize the great treat in store for them that afternoon. The William and Mary represe ntati ves entered th e game top favorites, being eloped to win by at least eighteen points. From th e opening minutes of the game, when th e Taskerites recovered a fumb le on Ri chmond' s twenty-ya rd li ne, to the last second of p lay, the strugg le see- sawed from one en d of the field to a nother. At one time the Spiders reached th ei r opponents'
five-yard line only to be held for downs. Two minutes later the Red and Blue were desperately trying to hold the invaders from scoring. Although outweighed twenty pounds to a man, the fight that the¡ Richmond team showed that day brought round upon round of applause from the crowd. In the last minutes of the game the Indians began a sustained drive down the field, and a tired and battered eleven prepared to make one last attempt to stop them, when suddenly there sounded to sixteen thousand ears the final whistle of the game. The greatest game of football seen here in years had resulted in a scoreless tie, giving to Coach Dobson's team the fruits of a moral victory. Captain Dillon, Peterson, Robins, Mattox, and Sibold will be lost through graduation. The Spider captain has proven a scrapper at all times. Peterson was, without doubt, the greatest ground gainer on the team. Sibold and Robins, after four years on the eleven, will be sorely missed. Taylor Sanford is captain-elect of the 1928 aggregation, and great things are expected of him next year. Let us hope that he will make his success complete by leading his team to the accomplishment of the slogan-

Basketball, 1928 The basketball season of 1928 at the University of Richmond witnessed one of the lighte st but fastest cage teams ever to wear the Red and Blue.
Winning
eleven out of a total of sixteen games played is not a bad record for any team, and when the fact is taken into view that only three men from last year's combination returned to school, the season may be cal led a successful one. Following a precedent of many years, the Spiders opened against the Medical College cagers and gave them a severe drubbing. Lynchburg and Hampden-Sidney were then met and both were defeated by small margins.
At this time it
looked as though Richmond had another championship quint. Then followed two of the most severe setbacks of the year.
Playing the Indians at Williamsburg, the local
aggregation led their opponents the entire game only to see victory snatched from them in the last minute of play. The final count stood 25-22. Randolph-Macon downed Richmond in the following game to climax the defeat administered by William and Mary. St. Johns proved the next victim, and in the fastest game of the season the Wasps of Emory and Henry were set back, 4.0-39. The Spiders failed to duplicate last year's feat and were taken into camp, 38-30, by a tall and heavy Cavalier outfit. V,lhen the Indians journeyed here for a return game, the locals had high hopes of erasing the former defeat. However, the gods of sport ruled otherwise, the Ta"kerites sweeping to a 41-27 victory. The visitors presented two of the fastest and most accurate forward> seen on the local court during the season. Following this defeat, Richmond began a steady march of triumph, Randolph-Macon, Bridgewater, and Concord College being swept aside. This chain of victories was broken in a very startling manner.
After a nip-and-tuck battle, the Red and Blue
colors were lowered by the M ed ical College team to a 33-31 verdict. The outcome was in doubt until the final
whistl e h ad blown, neither team being able to gain a decided ad va ntage. The change in the playing of the quint was greatly noticed for the few r em ai ning games. It m ay rightfully be sa id t hat the Richmond combination h a d at last struck its stride.
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
Lynchburg College were handed defeats.
To encl the
season in a fitting manner, th e Tigers from Death Valley were buried und er a 56-21 avalanche.
This v ic-
tory was doubly sati sfacto ry in that last yea r the Spide rs lost a ga me to the T igers an d in doing so lost the state crown. Although not as experienced and well rounded a team as last year's combine, Richmond's r epresentatives finished third in the Virginia Confere nce. Captain Peterson wound up a brilliant four years on the court, finishing fourth in the 1928 state scoring race.
During t hi s tim e he successivel y held the sta te
high point scoring crown for two years.
A total of
760 points was amas3ecl by " H erbie" for the four years, better than ten points per game.
He participated in
seventy-one contests, missing only one through ine lig ibility by Southern Co nfere nce rules.
The Spider cap-
ta in, one of the stead iest athl etes ever to wear the R ed and Blue, will be the only m a n lost through g r ad ua tion . Taylor Sanford was one of th e main bulwarks of the quint.
Using hi s hei g ht to advantage in every
game, h e proved himself a d ea dly shot when in the neighborhood of the baskets.
Desp ite his size, Taylor
is extreme ly fast in getting down the floor, an d is al so very adept at taking th e ball away from opponents. Lee Gaskins proved a veritable tower on th e d efensive.
Although small , L ee was one of the fastest m en
on the squad, being eve rywhe re and in all the plays. Opponents found him a hard ma n to shake off.
He
was onl y fa ir at cagin g goa ls, but hi s speed a nd figh ting spi rit made up for this.
Lee has been elected to
capta in next year's combin ation, and great t hings are expected of him. "Pinkey" M an n was one of th e two new me n to be
97
awarded the coveted letter. While attention was centered on Peterson, he would dash clown the floor to ri ng up another score for the Spiders. Mann is only a sophomore, and bids fair to make a wonde rful forward before he fini shes his four year course. Stuart Eacho was the fifth and last man to be given a letter. He hails from John Marshall High School,¡ where he was a teammate of Mann's. Stuart alternated between a center and guard position, filling both capacities in pleasing manner. Time after time again this slender basketeer brought the crowd to its feet in crucial games by caging difficult shots. Next year will see the loss of only one man, Peterson, through graduation, and with the presence of such able substitutes as Lofton, Onesty, N. Sanford and others, prospects are excellent. These three men, especially the two first named, played in many of th e games this season, but not enough to earn a letter. This experience should prove a great aid in what we hope to have next year-a championship quint.

Through the Tower Window You ask me, then, what I have learned In crowded college years: lust this, if learning can be told In words sedately printed: The beauty of an elm tree Outlined in strength and grace, Each leafless tw ig etched black Against a leaden sky. And as I saw this mass of lines R eveal a newer whole, I said, "Why, there is plan and beauty. It grows and is. Who could all this rreate I n such rhythmic grace li1ust be himself a God." S till more I've learned: A joy in peace w hich comes In satisfying measure From the sight of a mist-covered river A1oving slowly through cool, shaded banls. I have looked from out the Tow er window To w here green hills rise gently, And clean white houses comfortably rest Upon a friendly land. There I have learned To look upon a river flo w ing ever And know not its beginning nor its end, But feel the presence of an unseen Power And be at peace. CATHERINE BRANCH.

Verse PETITION FOR INJUNCTION ANGELINA ]oHNSON WILLIAMS,
Plaintiff
vs. RASTUS EPHRIAM WILLIAMS,
Plaintiff's tale of mortal woe herein she cloth relate: Some thirty years ago, or more, she took herself a mate, One Rastus Eph'um Williams, a man of many parts, A Pullman Company Pohtah with the noblest of hearts. Long have they lived together near Eighteenth street and Vine,. When Ras' was absent on his run, for him she'd always pine. With fohteen inky chi Iluns their domicile was bl est, A very happy household, a cunning little nest. With possum and potatoes, and bacon meat and pone, She always greeted Rastus on his returning home. And e'er at cullud dances their life was jes' divine, When Angelina Johnson came swinging down de line. An' Rastus sometimes boasted, amid de dusky mirth, That plaintiff Angelina wa s de bestest one on earth. An', too, when Sunday morning came, and service would begin, Yo' plaintiff led de shoutin' and defendant cried, "Amen." But a fly got in de ointment, as flies are apt to do, An' yo' pleader has discovered clat Rastus am untrue. He's devotin' his attention to a highly colored jane, An' am causing yo' petitioner "irrep'rab'.e pain." She's named Petunia Ricketts, a choclatecolored brown, Who came to old Missouri from an Alabama town. Oh, she's a vampire hussy, there ain't no doubt of that;
Defendant
If Uncle Torn had seen her, he'd have left his cabin flat; She'd even conquer Old Black Joe and make him young and gay, And Uncle Ned would lose his head, and soon be led astray. Why, Ras' done sent her flowers-oh, J edge, it's hard to tellHe even wears petunias on Pullman coat lapel! She's got a scarlet evenin' gown, dis Cleopatra frill, An' ole, deceiving Ra3tus done gone and paid de bill! He's beat me fo' days runnin,' dis kinkyheaded ram, An' lows he loves much better dis gal from Bumrnin'harn. v\lherefo', Jedge, dis plaintiff, without no help at law, An' knowin' now for certain Ras back she cannot draw, Doth pray de court to show his forte an' stop dis little thing, Enjoin her spouse, de faithless louse, an' make him cea3e his fling; Restrain dis wench, obstruct her guile, an' interrupt her wiles, An' den, perhaps, po' Rastus will come back home all smiles. Oh, no, suh, Ah wants no divoce, a better thing Ah craves, Enjoin dis wicked coup le, an' mah happiness yo' paves. You can make it temporary, but make it permanent, For mah po' misguided husband Ah'm bound to circumvent. An', J edge, Ah states, befo' Ah'm thrn, one thing dat you can guess, Ah wants all aid dat's just an' due- Ah wants jes' happiness. JAMES ROY CALHOUN, '26,

Dictum For us hard-working students, it might be well to recall the old Common Law maxim, " All work and no play makes Ja ck." And this mercenary vein reminds us that one of our prominent stu dents, once while loving ly stroking George, his pet Geranium, said, "I always fold my money, because I find it increases." (H is a shes w ere interred T uesday. W e' ll now arise a nd sing that soul-stirring old dithyramb, " With all his vaults, we love him still."
+ + + " And where, Parthenopaeus, didst Noah keep the bees on the Ark?" " How now! Periclymenus, thou one of little wit! Where but in the Archives?"
+ + + \Ve w ant to state here th at we have received a notice from the local Humane Society concerning certain parties in our school, w ho a re forever having some kind of troubl e. We refer, of course, to Messrs. Peters and Adams, and that man of destiny, Thomas Tidd. It seems that h e is continually persecuted by Peters and his nefarious coadjutor a nd abettor, Adams. We want to publish this protest.
Who is hurt in every wreck? " Tho catches it in the neck? Who? Oh, yes, that's correctTidd.
With many a sock upon the jaw, With every limb maimed a nd raw, It's always open season forTidd.
W ho can't start across th e street, Lest Adams knock him off his feet? Who knows disaster he w ill meet? Tidd.
Who is kicked from Peter's train, By Adam 's foot, with might and main? Who gets up and sues again? T idd.
But who brings almost every suit? Who pays the counsel fees to boot? Our h earts rejoice as we shoutTid d.

YOU CAN EAT ALL YOU WANT Pin Money Pickles are cooked until they are tender and mellow, which makes them easil y digestible. They almost melt in y·c ur mouth. The flavor which comes from making them by a rare old recipe and ageing them in pure apple cider vi negar, is a flavor that can't be copied.
