This economic impact analysis measures the effect of direct and indirect/induced business volume and government revenue impacts for all of the University of Pittsburgh’s operations throughout Pennsylvania. The methodology employed in the calculation of these impacts is IMPLAN.1 Primary data utilized to conduct the analysis were collected from the University of Pittsburgh. Data included capital expenditures, operational expenditures, jobs, payroll and bene ts, and taxes. The approach taken on this study was decidedly conservative.
