NEW LUXURIOUS SHIPS TO EXPLORE THE WORLD

Welcome Aboard

At Uniworld, we are always looking for new and incredible ways for our guests to travel with us. I’m excited to introduce seven new ships joining our collection across 2026 and 2027, marking an exciting new chapter in luxury river and expedition cruising.

2026 is a milestone year as we celebrate 50 years of Uniworld. To honour this moment, we proudly welcome the S.S. Emilie, our newest Super Ship vessel sailing the Danube. A true masterpiece on the water, she is inspired by the artistry of Gustav Klimt, blending rich colour, pattern and Viennese elegance, and debuts alongside newly curated itineraries that offer fresh perspectives on Europe’s most iconic rivers.

Looking ahead to 2027, we enter one of the most ambitious chapters in our history with the debut of three further Super Ships vessels, the S.S. Marlene, S.S. Audrey and S.S. São Rafael. Each brings a distinctive design identity while unlocking a new generation of itineraries across the Danube, and Rhine, balancing cherished classics with newly imagined journeys.

Beyond Europe, our horizons continue to expand through our Spectacular Journeys of the World collection; a curated portfolio of immersive, long-haul and expedition-style journeys designed for guests seeking something truly extraordinary. A particular highlight includes our Timeless Wonders of Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong itinerary aboard the Paradise Legacy, where guests journey through the picturesque limestone karsts of Ha Long Bay. This collection is further enriched by bold new journeys such as Bali, Singapore & Indonesia Expedition. Launching in 2027, this itinerary features 5-star hotel stays in addition to expedition-style cruising aboard the Aqua Blu. This experience combines volcanic landscapes, pristine reefs and expert-led discovery with refined luxury across Indonesia’s most spectacular waters.

Our world of exploration is further elevated by our enhanced river and ocean journeys with Seabourn, now pairing the Seabourn Ovation with the S.S. La Venezia to create a truly exceptional end-to-end luxury experience.

I encourage you to explore early, as many of these journeys are limited and already attracting strong interest. I look forward to welcoming you on board.

EXPLORING THE BEAUTY OF EUROPE

The S.S. Emilie

Brand new for 2026

Built in celebration of Uniworld’s 50th Anniversary, the S.S. Emilie is our newest member of our Super Ship fleet – and one of our most artistically expressive to date. Debuting on the Danube River in 2026 before expanding to other iconic European rivers from 2027, she marks a new chapter for Uniworld, where fine art, European heritage and contemporary river luxury come together effortlessly.

The story of the S.S. Emilie begins in Vienna at the turn of the 20th century, a time of artistic rebellion, decorative richness and modern thinking. Inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt, whose unmistakable style reshaped the art world, the ship is named in honour of his muse, Emilie Flöge. A pioneering designer in her own right, Flöge embodied creativity, confidence and individuality – qualities that feel intrinsically aligned with Uniworld’s design philosophy.

Throughout the ship, this inspiration is expressed through mood and detail rather than literal interpretation. Dramatic colour palettes, flowing Art Nouveau forms and luminous accents of gold subtly echo the visual language of Klimt’s most celebrated works. The result is an atmosphere that feels layered and expressive yet distinctly contemporary – elegant, immersive and unmistakably Uniworld.

When she begins sailing the Danube River in 2026, the S.S. Emilie will offer a refined perspective on some of Europe’s most enchanting destinations. Imperial cities reveal their grandeur from the water, storybook riverside towns unfold at a gentler pace, and ever-changing landscapes are framed like living works of art through expansive windows. From 2027, this experience will extend to other legendary European rivers, allowing guests to explore even more of the continent in the same artfully designed surroundings.

Life on board is equally considered. From beautifully composed public spaces to regionally inspired dining, every element reflects our belief that true luxury is found in the details. Evenings unfold softly, whether over a perfectly paired dinner, live music in elegant surroundings, or a quiet moment watching Europe shimmer past after dark.

With the S.S. Emilie, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises continues to redefine what a river ship can be. Inspired by one of Europe’s most iconic artistic eras and shaped by five decades of experience, this Super Ship vessel is designed not just to transport our guests, but to inspire them – sailing artfully, exclusively and beautifully through Europe’s great rivers.

You can discover a selection of itineraries available on this ship on the following pages. Visit Uniworld.com for the full collection.

A NEW ICON TO GRACE THE RIVERS OF EUROPE

The S.S. Marlene

Launching 2027

Launching in 2027, the S.S. Marlene will bring a new kind of glamour to Europe’s rivers. As the sister ship to the S.S. Emilie, she continues Uniworld’s next generation of Super Ship vessels, combining expressive design with an intimate, boutique-hotel feel. With space for just 154 guests, she will be among the most exclusive and luxurious ships sailing Europe’s waterways.

Inspired by the enduring allure of Marlene Dietrich, the S.S. Marlene channels the confidence, elegance and individuality that defined her as a global icon. Effortlessly bridging European cabaret and old Hollywood glamour, Dietrich’s unmistakable presence continues to influence fashion, film and culture – a spirit that is reimagined throughout the ship.

On board, guests can expect an atmosphere rich in mood and character. Dramatic contrasts, refined lighting and sumptuous textures evoke the glamour of a bygone era, while contemporary design ensures a sophisticated, modern feel. The result is a floating boutique hotel that feels expressive yet elegant, theatrical yet refined.

From 2027, the S.S. Marlene will sail some of Europe’s most celebrated rivers, offering guests the opportunity to be among the very first to experience this new Super Ship. Days are shaped by immersive exploration and scenic cruising, while evenings invite a slower rhythm – cocktails in stylish surroundings, softly lit lounges and the quiet magic of Europe after dark.

As with her sister ship, luxury on board is defined by space, privacy and attentive service. The experience feels personal and unhurried, allowing every detail –from beautifully appointed suites to regionally inspired dining – to be enjoyed at leisure.

From 2027, the S.S. Marlene will take to Europe’s rivers with a distinctly different energy. Designed as the sister ship to the S.S. Emilie, she brings a heightened sense of drama and confidence to the journey – a ship where evenings feel as memorable as the days, and where atmosphere plays as important a role as destination.

Intimate in scale yet bold in expression, the S.S. Marlene invites guests to experience Europe in a more glamorous way. A Super Ship vessel shaped by charisma, and style, she is designed for travellers drawn to individuality, elegance and a sense of occasion at every turn.

A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY ON THE DOURO

S.S. São Rafael

Joining the Uniworld fleet in 2027

The story of S.S. São Rafael begins with Portugal’s great age of exploration. The ship’s name is a direct reference to one of the vessels that sailed alongside Vasco da Gama on his first voyage to India in 1497. While São Gabriel served as the flagship, São Rafael travelled beside it under the command of Paulo da Gama – a powerful symbol of partnership, shared purpose and discovery, and the inspiration behind this newest addition to Uniworld’s Douro fleet.

Joining as a brother ship to S.S. São Gabriel, S.S. São Rafael expands Uniworld’s much-loved voyages along the Douro River, doubling capacity on a river that continues to captivate those who discover it. As interest in the Douro Valley grows, this addition allows more guests to experience one of Europe’s most beautiful – and still quietly underappreciated – river journeys.

Sailing the Douro is unlike any other European river experience. Carved deep into northern Portugal, the river winds through a dramatic landscape of terraced vineyards, sun-warmed hillsides and timeless riverside towns. Life here unfolds at a gentler pace, shaped by centuries of winemaking, craftsmanship and tradition. From the water, the valley reveals itself slowly and spectacularly, offering a sense of immersion that feels both rare and deeply rewarding.

The Douro Valley, Portugal
Porto, Portugal

Aboard the S.S. São Rafael, guests are given exceptional access to this remarkable region. Scenic cruising brings the Douro’s evolving beauty into full view, while carefully chosen ports allow for meaningful exploration ashore – from historic quintas and wine estates to villages where daily life remains closely tied to the bounty of the valley. The experience feels transporting, carrying guests not only through place, but through time..

With S.S. São Rafael sailing alongside its brother ship, S.S. São Gabriel, Uniworld opens the door wider to one of river cruising’s best-kept secrets. Together, they offer an invitation to experience the Douro as it was meant to be seen – from the river, unhurried and immersive, revealing the enduring beauty and heritage of Portugal at every turn.

DOURO RIVER VALLEY

Porto to Porto

Onboard S.S. São Rafael (Brand New for 2027)

As you follow the Douro River through Portugal and into Spain, you’ll drift past steeply terraced hillsides, sun-drenched vineyards and timeless villages that seem untouched by modern life. Aboard our luxurious Super Ship, every moment feels special – from relaxing as the scenery unfolds to savouring memorable evenings of exceptional cuisine. With unforgettable experiences at every turn, there is no better way to discover Europe’s best-kept secret than on this scenic and all-inclusive river cruise.

DAY 1: Porto (Embark)

Arrive in Porto and be transported to the luxurious S.S. São Rafael, your elegant home for the week. Settle in and soak up your first impressions of this colourful riverside city before your journey into the heart of the Douro begins.

DAY 2: Porto

Today offers two distinct ways to begin your Douro journey - you may choose a panoramic city tour of Porto or opt for a stroll on foot with the “Do as the Locals Do” walking tour. As you discover the city’s dramatic hillsides, narrow medieval alleys, historic neighbourhoods and the sweeping vistas of the river, you’ll quickly understand why Porto is more than its famous Port wine. In the evening, enjoy a Captain’s Welcome Reception and Dinner aboard your ship - a sophisticated welcome to life on the Douro.

DAY 3: Régua

Wake up to the quintessential scenery of the Douro Valley as you arrive in Régua, the heart of Port wine country. Start your discovery of the valley with a visit to the Douro Museum, where you’ll gain a vivid introduction to the history, culture and winemaking traditions of the region. You may opt to enjoy the riverside town or relax onboard as the terraced hillsides drift by.

This evening, experience an exclusive evening experience with a private dinner at a local quinta. Travelling up winding roads to a familyowned estate, you’ll enjoy a meal rich in regional flavours - an atmospheric evening that many guests consider a highlight of their journey.

DAY 4: Pocinho, Vega de Terrón

Go medieval today at Castelo Rodrigo, both the name of a hilltop castle as well as the village that surrounds it. The view from the top is incredible and the village is a charming place to ramble, relax and replenish.

DAY 5: Vega de Terrón (Salamanca), Barca d’Alva

Cross into Spain to explore Salamanca, the famed “Golden City,” known for its honeycoloured sandstone architecture and one of Europe’s oldest universities. Later, feel the pace slow as your ship winds through the dramatic, UNESCO-protected landscapes of the Douro River Valley- one of the most scenic stretches of your journey.

DAY 6: Barca d’Alva, Pinhão, Régua

Today is all about wine - the lifeblood of the Douro, cultivated on these steep terraced hillsides since ancient Roman times. Immerse yourself in this rich heritage with a choice of excursions. You may enjoy a guided tasting at a prestigious Port wine estate, where generations of winemakers have perfected their craft, or set out on a vineyard hike through sun-drenched slopes, ending with a well-earned tasting at a local quinta. Whichever path you choose, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the landscape, traditions and passion that define the Douro Valley.
